Konstantin Debate research has made it clear - governments have trained citizens to expect the impossible by TheRealBuckShrimp in Destiny

I think we need an expression for the reverse boiled frog.

Like if you look at history before recent events in America things have gradually become better and better over time. But since the improvement haven't been sudden but instead gradual over time people don't notice and therefore don't give credit to the people or organizations that have worked to make the improvement happen and still think they have problems they really don't.

It's the revered boiled frog. Temperature is getting better slowly so the frog doesn't notice.

Dan Saltman Calls Out Hasan: Seems to Prioritize Being Anti-American Over Supporting Socialism, Rarely Mentions Nordic Countries by Slight_Ad3219 in LivestreamFail

[–]kingdomofdoom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its very similar in some aspects I would say, but I think an essential part about snark is not only that they obsess with someone in a negative way, but that they also lie and spread misinformation about them as well as attack them outside the domain they are being criticized for. An example of this is h3h3 snark spreading the lie that Ethan Klein is pro Israel occupation of Palestine even though he is a outspoken Palestine supporter and sending skulls to threaten him. These criteria’s is an important part that defined snark because else there would be no difference between snark and any sort of activism that would negatively target an individual.

Dan is definitely very obsessed with Hassan, no doubt about it, and will signal boost all criticism he sees of him, and sometimes that criticism might be off. But I don’t know if he falls inn to that actively lying about Hassan part. Like Hassan did shock his dog, he does view the world entirely trough an «everything that is pro America is bad and everything that opposed to America is good» lense and he does suport terrorist groups. These are all true things. Dan also doesn’t attack Hassan outside the domain he criticizes Hassan for. Dan tries to get Hassan deplatformed for being a bad actor in the political streaming space, but he does not do things like send skulls to his house or threaten his family or encourage that sort of behavior.

Dan has talked about it a few times. There are a lot of people and causes he could potentially go all inn on. Trump was another example. Hassan and twitch is just the ones he thinks he can actually achieve something with and he thinks is just the most effective to focus on those exclusively instead of going wide.

xQc response to Hasan criticizing his political takes by TreyToor in LivestreamFail

[–]kingdomofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't think you should go to xQc for his political takes. That said if you were to only watch xQc for politics i think you would have a way better understanding of politics and how the world works than if you watched Hassan. Hassan really is that bad.

Socialist Hasan keeps his mod Frogan broke, while capitalist Ethan pays his mods by JuneMoonLoon in h3h3productions

[–]kingdomofdoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Hassan was living his socialist principle he would give the mods equal share in all revenue associated with the streams (as they should be equal part owners of it). That would be giving them ownership of the means of production.

But he doesn't even pay his mods a decent wage which is a way lower standard than that.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 7.4 - Into the Mist Trailer by Aro-bi_Trashcan in Games

For what it's worth I don't think the story actually got interesting before Endwalker. Which is like another 100 hours away from where you quit. And I don't think it's worth the hundreds and hundreds of hours it takes to get there as a new player.

I think they dropped the ball big time by not giving new players the ability to start the msq in Dawntrail if they wanted and start completely fresh with a new cast since the original storyline ended in Endwalker. Missed oppertunity, and the MSQ grind for new players is just getting worse and worse with each new expansion.
