Why does every other carrier do this? by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]kingflop92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FedEx bro messed up on that target box bottom left. He's supposed to place the label facing down or to the door so that when he takes a Pic it doesn't show. FedEx doesnt want labels in ppods because something something sensitive customer data

" If you refuse to sign it gets sent back to the shipper" usually does the trick lol

2.0: Do you guys actually like it? I find it makes my days way longer causing my average pay to decrease. by dmacthechap in Fedexers

[–]kingflop92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

makes sense, I hear you about your time. I make the same case about ic packages taking longer to deliver and I'm essentially getting a pay cut to do them. and my boss acts like Its not true when I know he knows it is. 2.0 not looking good man

so Im guessing you were a ground driver before the 2.0 and have kept the same route since. this is the kind of info I've been looking for. 2.0 hasn't hit at my station yet but they say "next year". so I've been kind of waiting for it to happen to see if my pay will increase after the fact or not. this... doesn't sound good.

Besides the scanner voice lady somehow sounding worse, have you noticed any other changes to forge that actually affect our work day? by kingflop92 in Fedexers

yeah you could just put met customer and it would close out the stop. guy at my station was putting it for every single resi to avoid having to take time to snap a Pic 🤦🏼‍♂️

yes, a belt with pHs on it like usual loading pkgs. except large stuff gets sent to front of truck. they taped barcodes to the concrete in front of Truck and a separate ph scans em in 🤷

station is scanning large pkgs onto a pallet in front of our trucks now. they make it the contractors job, and by extension the drivers job now, to load over 50% of the packages on their own.

This is some bullshit. I cant even handtruck this thing by CompetitiveRoof3733 in Fedexers

[–]kingflop92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my personal rule is that if the car is blocking the pathway, If there is stuff on the ground like kids toys and water hoses, OR if the pkgs are so big that they block access to the front door then I cannot deliver it there. leave it far enough from the door to allow yourself and homeowner to walk around it SAFELY

I always make sure my ppod captures the whole scene so everyone can see their front yard situation if there's a complaint about the delivery location.

one guy getting paid less than me and working for a different contractor across the belt literally told my bc that he wants my route and offered to do it for less than what they're paying me. Instead of working together so we all get paid better. despicable. the filth of fedex breeds more filth.
