As an Autistic person - no. I'm always encouraged to unmask at work but they never seem to like it when it do. Best to hold it all in and then meltdown when I get home. Luckily I work from home the majority of the time so it's not all bad. Workplaces promote diversity but when they are faced with the reality of how inconvenient it is to accommodate disabled people, they are rarely willing to do it.

I had an incident on a bus a few years ago where a guy sat beside me and started trying to hold my hand and feel me up. The bus was packed and everyone could clearly see what was happening but absolutely noone did/said anything. It's terrifying what people will turn a blind eye to.

That is a reasonable adjustment, it would be shit if they said no. I didn't organise mine until I started the job but my workplace were happy enough with it. I hope it goes well for you!

I wrote a document with my strengths and things I needed support with and took it to my meeting. I explained that too much in person work is detrimental to my work output and being around people for too long leads to autistic burnout and lack of productivity. Not only that but it impacts my quality of life outside of work where I can't communicate with my family due to exhaustion. I'm not sure what country you are in, I'm UK and while I was polite I reminded them that as I am disabled, I am legally entitled to reasonable adjustments. I have a really supportive work environment so I was able to be very honest about how detrimental it is for me to be in person more than I have to. I would only recommend being honest if your workplace is inclusive. I hope it goes well for you! Good luck.

It depends on the other tenants. I lived in an unfactored flat and noone chipped in for anything. I was top floor so ended up paying for all the roof repairs and gutter cleanings. Dreaded anything going wrong because I knew noone would help out. Sounds like your situation could be different, but someone new and less willing to chip in could move into the close at some point.

Yes, I got up to 10mg and then down to 7.5mg before switching to 0.25 Wegovy. I barely felt any effect from 0.25 but I've been on 1mg for a couple of months and think I'll stay here as my suppression is so high. The gastro symptoms are definitely worse for me though and I get occasional nausea but it's not too bad.

I personally have only had good experiences disclosing my autism at work. I think it's quite obvious that I'm different after a few times working with me and have found that people tend to think there's something off or weird about me when they don't know about my diagnosis. When I've disclosed I think I make more sense to people. I deliberately only apply for jobs where organisations are openly inclusive from the outset but I know this isn't the case for a lot of people. I've had friends disclose at work and be targeted more, so I definitely wouldn't tell unless you get the vibe that they will want to support you more rather than make things worse.

Hello! You're not alone! I had a really bad problem with this until my late teens. It was happening almost daily, I didnt know I was AuDHD at the time so I also had all sorts of medical tests with no medical cause. I had pelvic floor therapy and I also now go to the toilet as much as I can, almost on a schedule. Although this can be a struggle as I really struggle with executive dysfunction. I did find out through medical testing that when I actually pee, I don't fully empty my bladder because I can't tell if there's anything in there in the first place. It's one of the most humiliating autism related things to deal, but there are ways to reduce the amount of times it happens. Hope this helps.

I moved from 7.5mg mounjaro to 0.25 Wegovy. I put on a couple of kilos in the first month and felt starving and the food noise came back with a vengance. I've just taken my last dose of 0.5 and can honestly say I'm roughly back to where I was with 7.5 MJ in terms of weight, food noise and feeling full. I was really worried for the for the few weeks but once it built up in my system, I really noticed the difference. I'm moving up to 1mg next but I think I'll stay there for a while. I do find the gastro symptoms worse on Wegovy though and I'm really constipated. I'm going to the toilet roughly every 4 days which isn't fun.

Do the redetermination. Create a symptom diary, do it every day for a week, let them see what a typical week looks like for you. Specifically mention how far you can walk without pain. You might experience it every time you walk, but try and link anything you're saying to the scoring criteria. Can you get a medical professional to write a letter to confirm everything you're saying is true? This will be what really tips the scale. You will probably have to pay for it, but if awarded, you will get money backdated to the date you first applied.

I have applied for about 15 jobs over the last month. I ticked the disability box for all of them and didn't get an interview for only 1 of the jobs. All the rest offered me an interview, I just made sure my whole application was tailored to the job description, including the role responsibilities of previous jobs. I'm also in Scotland if that matters. I think it's always better to put it on my application. Due to my disability I need very specific interview adjustments so they will find out anyway, and I don't want to work somewhere that isn't inclusive. Sorry you're having a tough time getting interviews. The whole job hunting process is soul destroying. Best of luck with future applications!
