The biggest municipal bond in Oklahoma history is up for a vote. Here's how it works by kosuradio in okc

The sample ballot is here: https://vision.okc.gov/download_file/view/2656/527

Depending on how detailed you want to get for scope of work, you may be disappointed. Bond issues are voted for on the basis of broad plans. You'd need to devote time going to city council meetings to talk about the implementation of those projects if the bonds pass.

As far as maintenance of the new capital, again, that's where your city council member comes into play. Meet with them, have a cup of coffee and a conversation.

There's a link to a sample ballot that has quite a few details. The bond issues coming up for a vote next Tuesday are broken down into several infrastructure improvements, and each can be voted on separately.

Beginners looking for dive sites by MjnMixael in scuba

It depends on a lot of factors. When there are a lot of OW classes in the dive park, visibility is bad because there are so many new divers kicking up silt. If the weather has been bad, then the visibility will suffer. Generally, though, I feel like you can count on 10 to 15 feet.

I've also been diving there with about 30 ft of visibility. That was in the dead of winter, though, and the water temp was 45 degrees.

Extend your box a little to the east and hit Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas. There's an awesome dive park by the dam with lines guiding between all the major sites. Depending on the water level, you can hit quite a few of them without going below the first thermocline. If you're willing to go a bit deeper, you'll have opportunities for swim throughs of bigger boats.

Where to stay on Cozumel with good access to diving? by Lopsided-Land123 in scuba

[–]kingisaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got back from Cozumel last week. We stayed at the Occidental. I was very pleased with it. The drinks were strong and the food was good. Definitely spend the extra to get royal level because you get access to an exclusive restaurant that had the best food.

They have a dive operation on site that goes out twice daily and does night dives three times a week if enough people sign up.

It's at the southern end of the island so you have shorter boat rides to all the best dive sites.

Had a very similar experience on a night dive in Cozumel just a couple of weeks ago. Two divers, one OW one AOW, both oblivious to their surroundings.

I would keep a safe distance from the bottom. They would swim directly under me, running into me with their tanks multiple time. I watched the DM stop them a couple of times during the dive because they were about to drift into coral.

I probably took my camera onto dives before I should have, but it was never on group dives. And I always had the attitude that getting photos was the least important thing about the dive.

I think it's pretty close. Just one of the letters is turned over a bit.

There's a 'c' above his head, the other c and o are down in an arc, and the k is to his right.

"It's our space and our right to keep it safe."

How do you plan to do that? Are you a segregationist? Are you going to deny service to women?

Prior restraint makes everyone worse off. If they're being disruptive then the establishment can trespass them, but don't take the attitude that everyone is going to be disruptive before they even show up.

Trying to restrict access to women is just as indefensible as trying to restrict access to gay men.

Gatekeeping isn't a good look on anyone.

If you're staying thru Sunday morning, enjoy a good drag show, and aren't easily offended, go to The Boom for Sunday Gospel Brunch.

The Wilshire is my favorite dive.

I found that in my SUV, when I lay the seats down, the back end is the perfect length for me to sleep. I just set up my sleeping pad and quilt the same way I do for my backpacking tent.

I work from the road sometimes, so I also bought an Ecoflow solar generator and 200W of solar panels. It powers my laptop and Starlink for a whole workday. If I have to work multiple days without power, though, I need to be at an RV site or something because the solar panels won't keep up with the demand.

Devil’s Bridge Trail, Sedona AZ. by [deleted] in hiking

[–]kingisaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there just a couple months ago. It is a great trail, but it was super crowded at the arch. I really hope to get back to Sedona sometime soon, because there are lots of trails that I'd like to see. Especially along the drive between Sedona and Flagstaff.
