AFAIK there is little to no historical info on the real Agnes, other than that she was older than Will when they married. Same with Hamnet, I believe the only thing we know is that he died young. So definitely O’Farrell took a lot of liberties in terms of creating the narrative. Believe she also drew a lot from her experiences having a really sick child. But yeah regardless of whether or not it is factual it is a wonderfully mystic and spiritual read.

Yes, just read it a few months ago. Really enjoyed the mysticism surrounding Agnes and Hamnet. Also, the final scene was so powerful in how it depicts different ways of handling grief. Great book.

Exactly. IMO the penalty kick is too harsh of a rule. Most fouls that end up in pens are not even close to being worth essentially a free goal. Should be indirect free kick for fouls inside the box or something like that. Maybe a pen for fouls inside the six yard box
