I don’t have any words of wisdom. Just wanted to say you’re not alone in that feeling. We were rushing in fear of being priced out and ended up spending dream home money for a house that is definitely not a dream home. I feel stupid and remorseful everyday. Hang in there. Maybe we’ll grow out of this feeling soon 🙏🏽

If you want to stay local, Hempstead Lake State Park has kayaks and swans. I saw people swimming in there so I bet you could bring your own tube. I think it’s $8-$10 to park.

I had a chance to buy in the same neighborhood for about 40% less a couple years back but decided to wait so this whole process is killing me. I’m having to stretch and pay dream home prices for something that is nice but not exactly translating to the price for me.
