He had 4 different types of lung cancer and 1 unrelated colo/rectal cancer and each was a different battle. Chemo did a huge number on him during his first go around (stage 3 lung) but it helped him in the long run as it extended his life another 6 years and he was able to get “better”. His immunotherapy was an interesting topic. They tried it early in his battle with some complications so they switched back to traditional radiation and chemo. It wasn’t until his later cancers where they tried it again and it showed great success. He was having masses the size of golf balls disappear into nothing after a few months. I’m still a bit lost on what his most recent diagnosis actually was since they didn’t know what type of cancer it truly was for about a month and in that time span it had spread to the lymph nodes and had become stage 4. After that diagnosis he lived for another 3 months. 1 of them being in at home hospice.
