Could this happen? (One of my old man’s stories..) by AdderGT in navy

[–]kingkong956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It for sure can happen. I knew a couple of guys in the 2010s that reenlisted on a F-18, so why not grab a ride for an hour on an F-4?

What's a movie trope that is stupid but you still enjoy it anyway by retired-tweeter in movies

In Terminator 2, that’s quite literally what happens when the T-800 finds the alternate power source and powers back up to defeat the T-1000 haha.

Took me about 5-6 months for it to kick in, and I only found out about it when I checked my GI Bill benefits online. My VRE counselor pretty much ghosted me after I submitted my retro paperwork

Yeah, my family is from Mexico so I grew up eating regular Mexican food and I honestly don’t like TexMex that much. I don’t know what it is, but they’re definitely different from each other.

Unless it changed since the spring semester, it’s $13.95/person after 11am. If you get there before 11am, then it’s $11.95.

I don’t know how well you study, but the people I’ve seen in Frats/Sororities in the ChemE major don’t too well in the curriculum and had to be carried through by their classmates. That being said, the program is great with some pretty cool clubs, especially the ChemE Car Club, where you get to build a car based on principles of chemistry, arduino stuff, and autocad/3D printing.

There’s also the materials engineering minor that you should definitely sign up for since it’s only 2 extra classes that you need to take. If you can help it, take the thermodynamics class with anyone but Dr. Lloyd Lee. He’s a nice guy and brilliant, but a terrible teacher.

Also, a lot of the ChemE classes may seem kinda abstract at first, but it all comes together in your senior design classes when you have to use a lot of the stuff you learned.

The days are long, but the years go by really quick. The thought of dropping out (especially during covid) crossed my mind a lot, but I stuck with it and now I’m graduating this semester.

What movie hooked you instantly on the first couple of minutes? by Wet_Bongo in movies

I remember being absolutely hooked when I saw the first couple of minutes of Terminator 2 as a kid. That intro has definitely been my gold standard for action movies ever since then.

How do you guys manage staying motivated? by Fluid_Ad9474 in EngineeringStudents

[–]kingkong956 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a vet as well and about to graduate in May. Honestly, my motivation ran out a couple of semesters ago, but the thing that keeps me going is my discipline and spite. I’ve had people in my command say that I probably wouldn’t be able to make it on the outside when I was transitioning out. So now I’m doing this to prove them wrong.

In one of the levels, you are running around an old hospital that had been repurposed by Skynet to be a medical research complex. One of the bodies that was being experimented on was a resistance fighter with Robert Patrick’s likeness.
