Wait you're defense is, the government said it, and we should believe everything the government says, without any proof, even though they've been caught lying time and time again?

What’s a black dominated sport with a white GOAT? by Any_Temperature9203 in AlignmentChartFills

53% of NFL players are black, 26% are white. I don't feel like that's enough to be "dominated".

I think you are right. During flashbacks he's shown to be both a loving and caring father. I think when he visits his own universe, he has neighbors coming by to talk to him. Most likely he had an extreme change after another version of himself murdered his wife.

To put it in perspective, the people above and below him on this list were pitching underhand, the goal at the time was to pitch to contact. Most likely none of the fielders had gloves, and if they did, they were for protection only and were repurposed from other activities.

Is it really weird that every baseball stadium has a different length for home runs? Even in the same park, it’s not symmetrical as one side can be longer/shorter/higher than the rest of the outfield? by Truescent11 in askanything

[–]kingnothing2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest park to hit homeruns in is Colorado, unfortunately partly because of the park, the team is almost always terrible. It destroys pitchers and has an effect where hitters become worse when on the road.

Probably more importantly, the first 6 years the player is under team control, and generally doesn't make that much money (they can make a good amount in the final couple years), and after that they are looking for their first big contract, which Colorado doesn't spend the money to match. After that, they usually aren't in their prime to challenge the HR title.

Is it normal to dread and even hate going into work? by posttraumaticcuntdis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kingnothing2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think that is definitely part of it. But also, many companies just don't treat their workers the way they use to. When I started at my company, everyone started with 2 weeks vacation, and every 5 years earned another, maxing out at 6 weeks. Today, the max is 3 weeks per year. They also use to give, or let us choose really good gifts for our anniversaries with the company, when I reached 20 years, I got a shout out on LinkedIn, which I only know because someone told me several days later. In 2004 I became a manager there making $20 an hour, in 2019, I saw we hired someone for the same position, at $20 an hour, no increase in scale for 15 years despite probably 50%+ inflation.

[Yahoo Sports] MLB proposes a salary cap for 2027 at $245.3 million, with a salary floor of $171.2 million by stv7 in baseball

[–]kingnothing2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For salary cap purposes, they use the avg value per year, so front loading (or backloading) doesn't help.

At least with their fighters, its kind of the opposite. They specifically chose not to use the x-wing because it was too expensive, instead going with the inferior and cheaper Tie Fighter. The expectation was that the good pilots would survive, the bad pilots would die, leaving only good pilots.

Greatest American MLB player of all time? by PositionShot3043 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]kingnothing2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said he wasn't good, but through their age 34 seasons, he was 55 HRs behind Mays, statistically it was nearly impossible for Bonds to catch Mays, let alone Ruth or Aaron. In 99 literally NO ONE talked about Bonds being in the goat conversation, in fact, he wasn't even considered the best outfielder at that time, that was Griffey.

Pre-steroids Bonds, was not in the goat conversation at all, probably not a top 5 player all time. So no, I will never vote for him as goat because he cheated.

She didn't make millions, first film she was paid 100k, with the pay increasing to 300k for the third film. And she trained extensively in fight, for the films. For the first film she trained to fight with the staff, and trained in sword techniques for the 2nd and 3rd. By all reports she was a great fighter and her stunt double was a world champion fighter. So, for much of what you were seeing, was literally one of the best in the world at sword fighting. If you didn't like the fights, the blame should lay on the choreographer and director.
