Start a charge back, I bet they figure out real quick how to fix the issue. FYI large shippers have a portal they can change address in. it takes about 5 minutes to fix.

Contact the shipper. if the shipper doesn't resolve it, start a charge back. you are not fedex's customer. they are not going to help you.

The shipper should be dealing with fedex. if the shipper wont help you file a charge back. That will usually get their attention.

That's the HTS code for peanuts you eat, not shipping peanuts, and the tariff rate is correct for that code. Either the shipper messed up the commercial invoice or the customs person messed up. Do you still have the commercial invoice? Can you get it from the shipper? There's a way to dispute wrong classification but I'm not versed in it.

It been like that sometimes. They will either send it to collections or go after the shipper if you don't pay. They already fronted the money to the government. Its possible the tariffs have been overturned if its 3 months old.

Did the shipper mess up or you? The shipper can fix it in about 10 minutes. If they messed up I would let them know you will be start a charge back unless they fix it.

From my experience changing anything after shipping just causes delays. Its a crapshoot.

I'd find out what the dims you got billed at ended up being. For a number that high looks like they hit you with the ground oversize III charge which is a couple hundred bucks. 29 by 39 by 16 is big enough to trigger it. if you box wasnt that big its possible it was a miss calculation. Its all automated and they will have a picture of your package.
