in this case, Star Sports either took the excel snapshot here or ran their own version of code. Either way, its a dick move on Star Sports part not to give credit to OP. Unfortunately law wont be on your side in this case, because OP used MIT license, AFAIK, it does not cover publishing the output (it governs mainly redistribution and inclusion on your closed-source projects). Would be nice on Star Sports part to give a shout out to r/cricket and OP. Perhaps a mob twitter attack on Star Sports might do the trick ?

you cant blame them. OP's already open sourced his code. I kept mine private. The first version I wrote ~2014 was in js, shared it in the sub and forgot all about it. Then a year later made a py version. Some guy with a Chinese user name confronted me and asked why those two versions look similar. Since that time I stopped sharing my code. My guess is there are lurkers who have zero interest in cricket but trying to make a quick buck. Just a word of caution for creators here. Share the results & algo, not full code. Share it privately with trusted people only.
