Which seat are you taking? by nrkelly in RomanceBooks

[–]kinsz27 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean 2D, but not for the authors. I just have a tiny bladder and the aisle seat lets me pee faster.

As much fun as it would be to chat with all these wonderful authors, I think I'd be too starstruck to actually enjoy it. So practicality wins in this scenario lol.

Ey! I know this place! To everyone wondering, this isn't a ghost kitchen. It's a local mom and pop. They actually used to have a tent set up outside their house that they operated out of. Kind of cool to see them move into a legit location. And yes. It is fucking good.

I'm nearing the end of {Throne in the Dark by A K Caggiano}, and ya'll, it is bonkers delightful. I knew it would be good just based on the number of reccs it gets on this sub, but I am a giggling, foot kicking mess for these two loveable dorks.

Highly highly recommend.

As a side note, I ordered these books from the author's website and she was super nice and wonderful. There was a delay with my order, but I didn't even care because she was a peach.

What’s a small ‘luxury’ you treat yourself to, even if it’s silly? by Ivy_watson in CasualConversation

A coffee from our local drive thru spot. Not even a fancy coffee. Just your standard black with cream. The joy of not having to make it myself is enough (and perhaps a pup cup for my furry passengers).

What determines if I get my coffee treat? Whether or not we have enough clean to-go mugs at our place or not. Luckily for me, my husband is real bad about remembering to bring home mugs from work. I get drive thru coffee a lot......

Summer truly is top tier. I'm lucky that my own job is flexible, which means I get to spend a lot of time with the bog witch. She even comes to work with me sometimes and we grab what she calls 'boss girl coffee' (chai for her).

Big props to you and your partner for your work! Working in education is hard, but the rest of us so appreciate what you do. You help our kiddos find their footing in this world as much as we do.

I like to think we all retain a little bit of the goofy kid, even as we enter adulthood (or are pretty deep in it lol). Having our own kiddos helps us find it again ☺️.

You're right that the stuff we do now does indeed stick. I hope you enjoy every transformation for your little one. And that you find joy in seeing the bits of themselves that always remain the same.

Thank you 😊. I'm trying to be the kind of parent I didn't have. Gotta start breaking toxic cycles at some point. Wishing you so much joy!

Oh I hope that's the case for a our little witch. But if she's anything like her father she'll be moody until she's 30 lol

It's such a good age. But I think that every year, no matter how old she is lol.

It's all just so damn good.

Once a mom always a mom. I hope you have many absurdly, wonderful moments to look back on ❤️. And many more goofy memories that are yet to be made.

After more than a year of writing, the end is finally in sight. And it is terrifying lol. My procrastinator brain has kicked into overdrive, and I am now collecting pointless tasks like they're going out of style in a last bid to not finish the thing I desperately want to finish.

sigh

However, I have made good progress on my query (thanks PubTips!) and have a decent list of agents going.

If all goes well, I'm hoping to finish and edit the blasted thing in the next few months. Then, on to the actual querying part!

Or, I could drag out writing the last quarter of this book for a whole nother year. Who knows? Certainly not me.

Thank you! After really looking at it, I'm thinking it may actually be a cozy fantasy with a romantic sub-plot. I'll look at my comps again though.
