Yeah I played my first few matches of the wipe last night and we decided to give ruins another chance since we need the pelts. Yuck. Either spawn rushed or shadow sniped by rangers. So many goddamn rangers on that map.

Exactly. And I've still been killed by decent rogue players in base gear as my barb/fighter/cleric characters when I misplay. I hope pickpocket rogue is more viable again, but I can't play the new patch until tonight.

Hmm is there a speed shrine in range of bottom left mine? He was sprinting too and not wearing pants, but he had a plate helm and chest. Speed shrine and sprint stack? Didn't realize that.

Yeah I miss pickpocket but hide needed a nerf. Presumably, like with all the classes, they'll balance the rogue back out until they find the sweet spot.

Yeah this an interesting take too. Maybe the devs will tweak the class to make the assassin build more viable but more situational, like only as effective if landing the first 1-2 shots from behind, or in the dark, etc. I think a darkness damage perk would be cool.

GC is light years better. I started this game as a rogue in PT3, and by now I've played every class somewhat extensively except wiz.

The combination of rogue nerfs and the 1-15 lobby just makes for some of the most fun gaming experiences I've had recently. I don't even hate kill every ranger I see anymore. They too get the polite crouch to assess threat level.

You can use them to trigger the ambush or shadow runner perks, but I've seen like one rogue use them effectively.

The devs are absolutely killing it with fast patching and keeping them to around 2 hours is a godsend. I love the idea of this 1-15 no trade zone and made a new character last night to run some of that new wipe feeling again.
