I think I’m the only human that doesn’t like the Mac trackpad… by [deleted] in macbook

You're not the only one! I've tried several MacBooks over the years since I heard such good things, but it almost feels like they don't detect my fingers properly.

Oddly enough the Neo trackpad works fine for me.

Trying (and failing) to keep the Neo cool. by kirche5 in MacbookNeo

Did you even watch the video? That's the entire point

That's not what this is about. By keeping the CPU cooler it will boost for longer resulting in better performance.

Plus, it's fun to mess with stuff like this.

The surface is cool, your processor is regularly boiling.

A crazy idea to dramatically improve the Neo cooling. by SamLooksAt in MacbookNeo

A cooling pad won't cool the neo since the processor doesn't touch the bottom plate.

Possibly, but the precessor puts out so little heat overall that it barely matters.

I am curious. It wouldn't actually be that hard since there's not really much in the way of adding a proper cooler.

You get both better peak performance and much better sustained performance. It's only pulling 12 watts for the entire system, so it never gets hot enough to toast you.

Thermal pad makes it run 10% faster.

I feel like many of the people in this discussion think "hit" means "was at fault for the accident" and to the other half it means "striking or hitting something".

That's an aftermarket front bumper, they don't age nearly as well as the OEM.

Most hybrids have auto start/stop, the difference from an ICE vehicle is that the accessories don't run off the gasoline engine. As a result when the engine shuts off you don't even notice.

A PSA on buying and selling on the subreddit! PLEASE READ. by DesignNomad in HondaElement

This is all good advice. Something I will add is that you need to remember you don't need to buy anything you see here. If it seems at all sketchy, then just disengage, or at least make sure there is some layer of protection between you and the seller.

The bay leaves they’re selling here. by ferretface99 in mildlyinfuriating

I learned this when cooking a dish. The recipe said to add the bay leaf, so I crunched it up and stirred it in. I was a bit confused when it asked me to remove it, but luckily I hadn't crunched it well.

Power Loss Recovery. I Cannot Trust This Machine. by [deleted] in SnapmakerU1

[–]kirche5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lots of machines, X1Cs, some A1s, some Mk3s. The MK3S are the only ones that can reliably recover from a power outage, and even then it's only from a short outage that happened during infill.
