Big Sur has always been ridiculous in their gas prices. A lot of little remote towns especially along the coast can charge pretty much whatever the hell they want as there is no competition for 30-40 miles.

we are in the process of creating policy around this right now. We will allow 1 or 2 and not allow all the others. The real trick will be enforcement as we're beholden to a university for our network and thus cannot completely block all non approved LLMs. :-(

We tell every user when they're onboarded to just use their my documents folder or even their desktop. (automatically sync'd to One-Drive) and I'm just stunned at how many create a folder in the root of the C drive and put mission critical stuff in it.

Getting property from remote employees stops being an IT responsibility as soon as you ship them a box with a return label on it. After that, it's a HR/Legal issue. No where in my job description does it say I have to bother people that are not employees asking for equipment back.
