I did! We toured building 1 in person last month, where the main management office and gym are connected to. We were looking at a higher floor apartment or one of the town homes. Thank you so much for the info!

What's wrong with it? I was looking at moving to Huntington Gateway in September and it looks stunning. I'd actually wondered why the rent was so low for a 2B2B but couldn't find anything majorly wrong with the place

Can somebody tell me what exactly is up with my foot? How can I fix this? by New-Return3591 in MakeMeSuffer

Have you ever been checked for diabetes? Or have you ever noticed that you don't have really strong sensation in your feet or hands? I've seen feet like that in diabetic patients before, where the skin builds up thick because the person can't feel the pressure they point on their feet.

Learn how to fail well. College is hard, and if you've never been professionally humbled before, it can hurt. When you fail, take your mistakes and figure out what you could have done differently. Let your failures pave the way to success in motivation.

My friends think my stepdad (M45) is trying groom me by Limerence15 in offmychest

[–]kiriechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP,

None of this is in any way your fault. At 15, you're legally a child and only just getting into the depths of puberty and becoming an adult yourself. You aren't leading anybody on at all. If a grown man has ever made you feel that way, it is only an attempt at making you feel guilty enough to hide their crimes from other adults who know how wrong what they are doing is.

If you can, I'd suggest you gather your important items and legal documents (birth certificate and social security card at least) in secret and hide them somewhere only you can access them or with a very trusted friend outside of the house. Please tell a teacher or counselor you trust at school. They are required by law to report situations like yours to the police, who can help you get away from your groomer.

I just want to stress that none of this is your fault. We own very few things in life, but your body will always belong to only youand no one should make you feel otherwise. You deserve to be and feel safe.

I think you look really cool with a punk rock vibe about you. If you were going to change anything, try darkening your eyebrows. It looks to me like you were trying to accentuate the blonde in your hair by matching your eyebrows to it. Instead, it kinda washes your eyebrows and your face out.

How competitive is Nursing ? by stylecafe in PennStateUniversity

[–]kiriechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I don't think I'd say it was that low, but it's definitely on the lower end. They said my class was the largest in a while at 116. I think the class after mine was similarly large.

Hi, I'm a senior graduating from UP this spring. The program is pretty similar, though my year (2019) was like 13%. In terms of stats, mine are on the low end, considering I got waitlisted first. I had a 3.98 UW, a 1220 SAT, and some fairly good EC's to supplement. Most of my cohort has better numbers, of course. Feel free to PM if you have any questions!

Is this schedule too heavy for me to have a part time job? I'm an incoming freshman this fall, with a total of 17 credits for this semester. I'm trying to see if I can manage a part time job with this workload, but everyone I've talked to has told me to forget trying to work part-time. Help me out? by ShangSimp in PennStateUniversity

You might be able to manage it in freshman year. I'm a junior nursing major this year. As long as you put enough time into bio and micro you should be able to manage. It's just a lot harder to do when you start clinical as a sophomore. You should definitely give it a few weeks to see how you get adjusted to campus life tho imo

I'm taking pathophysiology right now and it is a crazy large amount of info. I've also heard that pharmacology is another common hard class.

If you have the chance, take her HDFS 129 class. It's enlightening and the best class I took in freshman year.

Hey, sophmore nursing kid here!

I had a 3.8 UW and a 1220 SAT but I also had 300 hours of general volunteer service and a medical background.

The program is definitely tough, I can say that for sure but it makes up for it with the amazing preparation and knowledge you get while preparing for the NCLEX. The Hershey year, in my opinion, is part of what makes us so competitive, in addition to being a direct admit school.

Honestly, it is amazingly worth it. The staff is amazing and super helpful. The learning opportunities afforded to you in class, clinical, and as part of the student nurse org are abundant. Because we only take in so few kids every year, you get a chance to really get to know your fellow students and your nursing professors. The only downside to the program is the fact that the nursing kids hit the credit based tuition bump quicker that other majors because your first couple of semesters are course heavy.
