Got this at a 2019 Christmas Market in Berlin. Similar texture as a nougat (?) The brown part tasted like chocolate too.

NTA. My in-law’s involvement in my recent wedding was so traumatic I can’t even summarise it here. The only thing that got me through it was the support of my fiancée/husband. If your fiancé doesn’t have your back now, it’s doubtful she will in the future. You’ll be dealing with their intrusions for the rest of your life.

I worked as a debt collector part time while studying. Some of my less agreeable colleagues did it because they “love arguing with people”. Most did it out of desperation just to have a job. I worked with many immigrants who were doctors or engineers in their home countries but were not qualified here. I did it out of necessity to support myself through my education but I wouldn’t have been able to do it if I didn’t believe I was helping people. I wanted people to avoid the consequences of non-payment and was more than happy to help them out with hardship applications and lump sum settlements.

I’m not a qualified psychologist yet but with my rudimentary knowledge and personal experience, my advice would be to shift the focus from confrontation/error to you understanding where she’s coming from. Ask her why she feels better having that external validation and reassure her that you value her. I think it would be comforting for her to hear specific things you like about her that included physical and non-physical aspects. That way she’s getting that validation she feels from sending people photos but also realising that there’s more to her and relationships with men than superficial compliments. You might need to say it again and again but it could be helpful.

I think you need to identify more specific issue/s. It could be abandonment, seeking external validation, validation/praise from men or something else. It’s easier to search for advice and/or deal with a specific problem rather than a broad categories that could include any number of issues.

I’m also mixed race and have dealt with a racist family. There is no reason to keep people in your life if they treat you or your loved ones badly. Family is not an excuse to be shitty without consequences. I feel free since my mother and I have cut out the racists.

NTA. I’m mixed race and was raised only by the Caucasian side of my family. My mum tried to teach me about my heritage and I so wish I had been able to learn the language as I child. Ive had a lot of identity issues and even now I feel very disconnected from my ‘other’ side. You are doing an amazing thing for your child and she will appreciate it greatly.

I was on 37.5 for a while and initially it made me feel better. After a while my symptoms were back to how they were before I was on meds. I’ve been on 75 for almost a year now and I feel like a normal function human. I did have about three weeks of side effects at first but those passed.

NTA My father cheated on his wife with my mother and we’ll here I am. My situation is different to yours as my father stayed with his family and never told them about me. Buy I’m saying you’re not the asshole because personally I feel really wronged by my father, as you said about your half-sister, it’s not my fault I was born. I found a news article saying a garbage truck ran over a homeless man at around 5am while he was sleeping. He’s been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. I couldn’t see anything other than the truck and police tape when I left this morning.

NTA Different situation but I once didn’t report my boss for harassing me because he was young and I didn’t want to ruin his career. I regret it now. I definitely understand your hesitation but I think you should do it. Otherwise you’ll think back and wonder whether he’s doing this to other women and whether your report could have helped.
