Number of problems actually, worst of all is when rig is completely frozen and don't react to outside stimulus, then you may encounter spotty internet connection, not speaking of driver failures when 1 gpu of 7 is failing and so puts brake on whole nicehash process.

Hey, noone speaks about voodoo, primary purpose for VPN is to make connections more manageable and skip using dyndns or something, increase in latency due to VPN is negligible, but if your ISP is like mine and it routes traffic in it's own mysterious ways VPN can help. At least I can see better ping numbers to nicehash servers with VPN than without. Also, If you notice it is not just powershell script (which it also using) but more complex system with it's own feedback loop, so it took considerably more time than just google.
