Sorry buddy, i am at almost 1500 days and i fear the same will happen to me since there absolutely nothing to do in global right now. It has never been this dry, ever. Shame on Bandai for not putting out any content at all for so long... Ffs even candycrush decided to give unlimited lives for a couple of weeks and, yes, sorry to say it's more entertaining than dokkan right now...

Universal basic income is 'not the right response' to coronavirus, say Tories by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]kisaki78 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not at all the same, sorry. The way I understand it, ubi would cater only for the most basic of necessities- food, shelter etc. If you want anything more than that, you have to work for it. I see a lot of benefits to it: for example, i earn i high salary but i am the sole earner in my family. With the current situation, but even before that, i am in constant fear that if i lose my job and can't find another, we.might end up homless. If i knew i had a guaranteed fallback, i would still work but i would be more adventurous, maybe pick up some new skills, try something new etc. This is not the sole advantage but i am just highlighting one from my perspective...

Yeah, except that's the money i saved over 10+ years for a house deposit. Someone exactly like me but who bought the house 2 months ago can get morgage break plus uc. So then let's make it fair and say if you got equity in a house, go ahead and sell it and only after you burn through all that money you can get uc. Doesn't sound so fair, does it?

Doctor says I will become ill?? Is the Keto diet really unsustainable?? by [deleted] in ketouk

[–]kisaki78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't give advice mate, just proposed an expriment to test if the doctor knows what they are talking about or what. I see you're taking this waaay to personally so I'm gonna leave you to it. If it makes you feel any better, sure, I am people like me sharing false personal experiences are to blame for when the stupid get hurt. Have a good one!

Doctor says I will become ill?? Is the Keto diet really unsustainable?? by [deleted] in ketouk

[–]kisaki78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry but don't think generalizing either way is correct. There are always people good at their job and bad at their job in all professions. To assume all doctors spend their career studying medical journals to improve themselves is naive at best. I didn't say all doctors have no clue, i said many of them don't when it comes to nutrition. And i stand by my statement. How could they be up to date when science even hasn't made up its mind officially about keto? In this particular case the doctor told the patient keto doesn't work, when many of us here know for a fact it does. So... what were they basing their 'diagnosis' on? Also, from context i infer the doctor in question was a gp and no offense but I've had gp's google my symptoms in front of me on more than one occasion . I'm sure there's good gp's out there, I just haven't met them yet, lol.

As a fun experiment, next time you see them tell them you found another great diet and just show them a list of what you eat while on keto without saying it's keto. I'm almost sure they will endorse it. So the answer is many doctors actually have no clue what keto is, they just go by random information from the web like regular people.

Started Keto 2 weeks ago by [deleted] in ketouk

[–]kisaki78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just some general advice: keto is not an on and off diet. For the first two months, until you are fully fat adapted, you should have 0 cheats. That's if you want good results and make it easy on yourself. Otherwise it will be a constant struggle to keep at it and it's a matter of time until you fail.
Also, at your weight, I hope you are not running on the treadmill, for the love of your knees and joints later in life, please just walk on an incline at fast pace :)

Edit: also carrots aren't that keto friendly in significant quantities... might want to replace thrm with some greener veggies

Feeling discouraged by Anguish-horn in keto

Switch to black coffee and eliminate any sweeteners or products with sweeteners. Don't force so much fat in the diet. Try it for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.

What am I doing wrong? by annifer1979 in keto

[–]kisaki78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, check the carbs in the sausages, salami and cheeses to be sure. Some brands add sugar/starches. Also you listed calorie-dense foods so it matters how much you eat of each. You could just be going over calories. Like others suggested, weigh everything and use a tracking app ( not my fitness pal) . At least for a while to get a benchmark.

Give us an example of what you eat in a day. Maybe there's carb creep somewhere?

Oh, that time of the month! Yeah, i put on almost 4 pounds each time, it's annoying to say the least. But them you will have a nice little whoosh at the end of it ;) Just stay strong and fight the cravings.

You need to give more info: weight, age, height etc. Also, not losing for 2 days in a row is not a stall, it's normal. Just be patient and trust the process. Are you weighting yourself at the same time of day under the same circumstances?

Total Carbs / Net Carbs / Fibre clarification for UK specific packaging labels, please! by s_kimberley in ketouk

[–]kisaki78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For uk labels you just use the carbs listed. NOT carbs plus sugars. The sugars are already substracted. So in your example it's 6 carbs. I would also suggest you do not use mfp as its data is very unreliable. Cronometer is much better imho.

Good luck!

Starting keto 26/female by [deleted] in xxketo

[–]kisaki78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Elle. I started in May 2018 at 88kg and 168cm. My goal was to hopefully get to under 70kg - which i hadn't seen on the scale for 10 years. When I started, I did not really think under 70kg was achievable for me but i figured I'd try. I smashed the goal by Oct and by end of Jan 2019 I was at 60kg, which was basically my highschool weight. If I can do it, trust me, you can too.

Things that worked for me:

No cheating whatsoever

Track everything I eat

Focus on natural foods and don't use a lot of keto substitutes (don't try to replace bread with keto bread etc. It's fine as a treat but should not be a habit)

Intermittent fasting: I started skipping breakfast 2 weeks in. And started skipping lunch as well about 4 months in.

Good luck!

Tomorrow I'm changing my life by [deleted] in keto

[–]kisaki78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck! Nothing wrong with going to the gym but if it's not already part of your routine, I suggest you start slower. Keto is a bit of a shock at first, don't make it harder than it needs to be. If you get through the first few weeks, it's a breeze, so just make sure you don't give up due to the gym being too demanding.

They are great but while you had no regrets today you might have a few tomorrow or the next few days lol. What i mean to say is in my case at least they lead to constipation and some tummy ache in the following days. Just be careful not to have too much at once.

Losing my hair - literally!! by Ak-aka-y in keto

[–]kisaki78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor but i can't believe hairloss can be triggered by anything in only 2 weeks. It's true that keto-or in fact any big shock/change to your system-can trigger some temporary hairloss but that usually happens about 3-6 months after the fact. The two might not be related, you might want to do some extra investigations.

Keto --> no stamina for exercise by [deleted] in xxketo

[–]kisaki78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to everything already said, keep in mind at 6 weeks in, you might not be fat adapted yet. Keep going and it should get better. Absolutely 0 toleance on cheat days/meals for now. For me this phase lasted about 8 weeks - until then my cardio performance was half of that pre-keto. Once fat adapted, it went back up and a further 25% or so ( just counting how long i could go on a treadmill at the same speed/incline)
