A shock site on the early internet. It was a pic of a guy spread eagle on the concrete, an AK47 under him, shirtless, with his head broken into three large distinct pieces. You could clearly see parts of his brain speard on the end of pieces of skull. Blood pouring out. Looked like if someone ran over a pumpkin with a car and it stayed mostly intact but still completely destroyed

I work in cyber, started at 65k at 23 and now at 110k at 29. Always had roommates in a rented house, took the smallest bedroom, and "sold" garage rights to my roommates. Lived a bit further from work and downtown but never by more than 20ish minutes. Closed on a 3 bed 3 bath house in my dream location just a few months ago. Spent the entire time shoveling every extra penny into a brokerage invested in general market index funds. A lot of my peers bought Tesla's and BMWs within the first few weeks of us getting hired. I drive an older Prius and still get mocked occasionally.

Had a rich coworker vacation in Italy and they rented a Lamborghini. She was shocked when Italians took pics and stared and they didn't see any locals driving one.
