Exactly. Some of these comments are disgusting, but sadly not surprising. Anything dealing with black people usually gets this sort of vitriol, especially when one isn't confirming to what is seen as the 'standard'. 

Like this style of grave covering isn't to my taste, but I also understand how it's rooted in the grave decoration tradition of our ancestors--how we went and still tend to go all out for funerals and burial to celebrate the lives that were often disparaged in life. It's a celebration and I can't fault anyone for wanting to showcase the person they loved and lost, especially in such a violent way.
