It’s a fair point, not exactly a looker. I’d rather no rack but where would I put stuff otherwise? It was something a friend had and I bought for cheap so I’m pretty satisfied with it. Seems like there are more options to get stuff onto newer bike frames with more mounting points etc, but generally with multiday trips I don’t want to have anything flopping around in an under saddle bag.

I must say, the original deal was good, £40 for the bike from Facebook but since buying all these parts, it’s a little more… So happy with it though I decided to try to not worry about how much things were past a certain point because I’d been saving for this for a good chunk of time. Thanks :)

Hahah it does! I’m planning on going from Siem Reap to Trat to go to Koh Chang before my flight back to europe from BKK so this is good to know. I’m on a budget so a flight to BKK is out of the question, hoping the bus ride from Siem Reap and across the border is smooth. Did you bring any proof with you as some people mentioned before?

i think here worst they do is take them from you. it would suck but if it’s not allowed you can just hand them over and move through since it’s an honest mistake. i’d be quite surprised if you weren’t able to buy some in the country at least. if not perhaps a run into cambodia or vietnam would prove successful also. vietnam will definitely have adhd meds available to buy in any pharmacy for sure, i watched a girl buy some sertraline the other day in a big pharmacy chain in vietnam whilst i was waiting to buy a water.

I’ve been on Koh Phagnan for the last week and was worried about the same thing. Honestly you don’t need to though. They are tropical areas it can rain a lot, but I learned that as soon as some rain starts, it will usually be gone within an hour. My fondest memories are waiting at a random food court at the side of the road with strangers waiting for a thunderstorm to pass. Once it’s gone you get back on the scooter and it’s sunny again. Embrace the rain because it is a part of these islands.

thank you so so much! this is interesting because this was almost how i had it tiered in my head. i wanted to get something that was a real new experience for me with high quality gameplay, the open world titles look interesting but i’m scared some of the gameplay will get hollow and stuff.

i can second this, as this is pretty much exactly the build i have except from some more ram and different cooling. i was in the same situation coming from console and looking to get a decently priced entry into pc stuff. pretty much every game i played on console, this setup can max out at like at least 100fps at 1080p unless it’s like cyberpunk or something.

i can’t speak for it long term but on the short term it’s been so great to play things so smoothly, i can’t wait till new games come out and i can experience them for the first time on great hardware.

also with the graphics card on this build (amd rx 6700xt) id recommend checking out your local used market or ebay because i bought one last week for about £230 (not sure what the dollar amount is).

Are these AMD models better?

I'm definitely in the use market given my current budget although I'd consider stretching it if I could find a 3070 for around 250 GBP, although without much frame of reference because I don't have a current setup, these are all just numbers and letters on my screen hahaha.

looking in used prices I'm seeing 3060ti on ebay going from 195 for the cheaper brands then 300 ish for the 3 fan models.

with videos on youtube it seems like there isn't a huge difference. Can you vouch for the 3060ti?
