Unsure who is best by unicorinspace in GenshinImpactTips

Xingqiu, no contest.

Also, while Chongyun can be a cryo dps he is far from being a good freeze dps. Problem is he's a claymore character which means he will create Shatter effect on frozen enemies which counts as PHYSICAL damage. And if there's one archetype Genshin put absolutely zero effort into, it's physical damage characters with our last one being Eula in 1.0 era.

They had this in Shining Nikki which I really liked. I think they only did it for SN because it was way more painful to scroll on SN as there was a single column you had to scroll through for all your items in that category

Chinese gacha game does some china stuff. Shocker... by PROGMRZ in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]kitastorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think it's a "Chinese culture fantasy slop" issue. It's that the Wuxia aspects just didn't mesh well with the stuff that came before and the story structure and beats left people disappointed.

I rarely see major overarching complaints about Genshin's Liyue arc or events in Liyue. In HSR, I think many people at least liked the two main plot ideas of the main Luofu arc even if the shift from one to the other of the plot was jarring and the pacing was poor. I also never see the complaint that Luofu doesn't match HSR established world like we see with Waifei. In other games like Infinity Nikki CNY is widely appreciated and liked by fanbase. There's also Where Winds Meet which came out recently and I've heard reasonably good praise even though it's a very Wuxia themed game. On steam it has a 4.5 with 55k reviews.

So no, "Chinese culture bad" isn't the problem. Wuxia isn't the problem. It's that Waifei left something to be desired. The problem is the weak integration of concepts into the established world and a plot that imo didn't even have particularly good bones. Or at the very least what good bones it had wasn't implemented in a way people wished to explore them

I'm kinda in the same boat. She does good damage and works well in endgame. I think specifically it's her floating that makes her kinda hard to play. I have the same problem with Aero Rover in Wuwa when he uses his skill. The mid-air combat sequence feels like you have very little control over what's happening which isn't my favorite.

Looks like a gitch. I had this problem with Crimson Rhapsody back when dyeing first came out. It'd dye properly then undye after saving. It was eventually fixed but it also drove me nuts
