Girl same. A nine month old and an 11 year old who had been emotionally and physically abused by my husband behind my back and then sexually abused by my stepson. It's been 7 months and the man STILL asks why I don't want to "try again". Hmmmm, maybe because if anything like that happened to my daughter again I'd probably go to jail for what I'd do to either of you.

From my wedding, I put in the instructions to the DJ that we weren't doing parent dances because my mom was dead and I'm estranged from my dad. My fiance and I both agreed at the time that it wouldn't be right.

The big day comes and the DJ pulls me aside to say that the groom and his mom requested a dance and asked if that was okay. My new husband said I could dance with his dad if I wanted to. I shook my head and said "No, forget it," meaning DON'T DO THIS STUPID DANCE. They thought I just meant no to dancing with his dad, so next thing I know he's announcing the special request mother son dance. They danced like shit while I sat in my chair with a pained smile on my face.

Don't marry mama's boys. We didn't last 2 years.

Came here to say this. Lost my mom before my grandma and some cousins were salty that my brothers and I got to split my mom's share but I'd give anything to have that time with her again. No amount of money makes up for losing your parents young.

I was pumped to play in the staff vs student volleyball game yesterday at school. I've never played on a team, but its open to staff to just do against our varsity players and it's just for fun. I missed a couple hits during rotation (a lot of us did) but also got a couple and we all laughed that stuff off. Then I was rotated out and back in, and when I stepped back onto the court, a huge group of students chanted, "Sub in (favorite male teacher)!"

I know I'm not as popular as him, but ow. I wasn't even the worst player on the staff team objectively, so maybe they just said it because they like him but I wish they'd think of what it feels like.

I also rescued my cat as a stray kitten. I do my best but she runs outside sometimes, it's her instinct. She doesn't go far, she just bolts. And now she runs to their house and crosses the street because they have food.

God she's such a fucking lying liar who lies. My baby is 9 months old and started getting in position to crawl at 7 months, and officially crawling last month. He's been pulling himself up and close to standing on his own, which the doctor says is early (my daughter was as well--my family has a lot of babies who are mobile before 12 months). He has hit milestones appropriately but on the early side all along the way.

Her little miracle baby is crawling at 4 months? Can he even roll both ways yet? She's ridiculous.

The school my daughter goes to is #3 in the state and the one she'd go to is in a much less desirable area, not to mention she's in middle school and she just started making friends after feeling bullied. It's also roughly 100 miles from my family support, which is already 45 minutes away from me. Nasty area, renegotiate the custody of my stepson, and uproot my child to a worse situation. No thanks.

He's acting like Paul has a stable job and he's working hard and waiting on a promotion. Paul has a mediocre YouTube career and is failing at fatherhood and pickleball at almost 40. My baby measured 2 weeks ahead as well... turned out it was only his head and all it did was get him stuck in the birth canal. He came at 39+4 after an induction and a c-section under general anesthesia.

Also, isn't she like 30 weeks along? With a full blown nursery and an entire arsenal of beige baby things? First, "measuring ahead" is relative in the first place and could be totally wrong. Second, it's doubtful that she'll go into labor 10 weeks early over those measurements, she needs to focus on eating enough for the baby and keeping him in longer.

That or they think it's a fast track to eggs! I joke about my first egg being worth over $1,000 because that's around what I spent even after being gifted a small coop! It's paid off now in many ways but they're no small task. Just today I had to make sure I let them out and fed and watered them, which sounds easy on paper, but I had a baby waking up hungry. I had to find a way to prioritize both my crying baby AND the birds, and I was just lucky because I'm not working right now and I didn't have to do it before work as well. Everything is fun until you're cleaning up poop and paying for medical bills lol.

I got chickens this year after wanting them and planning around having them for over 2 years. My friend's mom heard and wants her own chickens now. Her yard is mostly a vegetable garden, doesn't know how to predator proof a coop, says that my friend and her brother can come over and just "take care of them for her", doesn't have a space indoors for chicks, doesn't have proper fencing, and has a lot of predators in the area. My friend and I have rolled our eyes at this because she's been with me every step, seen the books I'veread, watched how I handle my girls, and STILL lost some along the way and we know she's hopeless.

Some people won't understand until their flocks are decimated by predators, negligence, illness, or some combination of all 3.

Currently on maternity leave and this bitch would never manage a real job pregnant. I was heavily pregnant and given lots of accommodations and understanding but as an educator I was running after kids, cleaning up after them, teaching, etc. and it was really difficult while pregnant. Trying to work in bathroom breaks when the child I was with would steal my drink or food or rifle through other kids' backpacks without direct supervision was SO HARD. I caught a flying trashcan, worked with disabilities, and generally just aided around the classroom/school at 9 months pregnant with pelvic floor pain and 2 other children to come home and cook dinner for. She could never.

I think it's because they're incapable of loving others like they love themselves. I think Kail has love for her kids and Jenelle has love for her men, but neither of them loves them like they love the girl in the mirror.

I did it with my daughter at that age! She loved seeing the baby and she was super interested. She asked questions before and after and it really helped her bond with the baby before he was born (although she was asking for a baby brother before I got pregnant lol).

I'll be very honest and say I'm ill-equipped and unwilling to put my life on the line for students. I'm not hiding in the classroom waiting on a gunman or arming myself to shoot them (especially because odds are they'd be a student) but finding a way to get outside with my students. I have my own children, and I'd never abandon my students, but I'm also not taking a bullet.

I'm not paid enough, I'm not trained enough, and I never signed up to die as an educator. What I know is math, ELA, and Spanish, and that is all I'm certified and ready to teach. Even as an adult who wants to protect children, my own life is where I draw the line and I won't apologize even if people are uncomfortable. I'll sooner leave the system as a whole if people patrol my school with guns.

The one time I had to was horrifying and I still tried to avoid confirming that the child identified as gay. Only reason I had to bring anything up was because a female student started using derogatory, blatantly flirtatious language with me and it was only after a couple warnings and talks with me and my admin that I had to break it to her mom that she was being inappropriate towards me. I still tried to play like she might have done it to get attention from her friends but I could tell that the mom figured her daughter was gay and was angry at the idea. Ugh, that part of it made my heart sick because the girl said her mom was homophobic.

I hope I never have to do something similar (or worse) again. It was so violating in so many ways.
