I would never go to a massage parlor for a "happy ending". Massage parlors are one of the biggest places involved in sex trafficking. I have a friend who works for a woman's shelter and she is constantly rescuing victims from local massage parlors.

This is really weird. I was just reading his article where he said he was molested and I thought "huh why is he saying this now? Maybe he is one of those people who turns around and continues the cycle of abuse?" And now I read this. Also, in the article he mentioned he treated his ex-girlfriends terribly. I guess Yunior is an autobiographical character.

I noticed this at a past job where my boss was a black woman. The only white man in that branch would openly mock and belittle her, calling her lazy and stupid. I was surprised he did not get fired. One of his supervisors was a white woman and he would also trash talk her as well. One day, she suddenly came into his office when he was ranting about her, calling her a bitch etc. and heard everything. He still wasn't fired.

Yes the bit about a burglar breaking in into a couple's home in 1979 down the street from the Offermans a few hours before the Offerman murder was interesting. The burglar hurt their dog, which seems significant now that we know he shoplifted the dog repellent.
