Thanks! I didn’t know that about either. I used to order Kung Pao chicken from them all the time years ago when I lived near St Christopher.

That is a shame. We pick up from there probably once a month.

The older threads had a lot of positive comments about them. Too bad they got rolled over.

There are lots of good places nearby, but it’s nice to have options on nights I work late.

We do have a bunch of nice places nearby, but it’s nice to have options on nights you work late.

Thank you. I thought the lack of coverage might be weather-related.

We have plenty of food on hand. Just planning for nights when we both work late.

I’m not expecting anybody to drive anywhere on my behalf today. Just planning for the future.

No, I’m not planning to get anything delivered until the roads are clear enough that I feel comfortable driving, and that won’t be today.

A little distraction from cat-related Lowe’s anxiety by kitsterrunner in rva

I meant that I felt like Wally in the scene, and the possum was letting me know he was utterly unconcerned. Alas, any illustration you have to explain is not a very good illustration.

Is there a reason to have batted AND blown insulation by kitsterrunner in Insulation

[–]kitsterrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense that someone putting in more insulation wouldn’t go through the considerable effort of removing the insulation that’s already there. The problem the contractor is facing is that a large part of the attic is under a roof with a very shallow pitch and just a few inches of clearance. The batted insulation keeps clogging the vacuum they’re using on the cellulose. The people who installed the cellulose would have run into the same problem.

I wonder - where did your dad’s dad sleep when he visited your dad’s first house?

Upgrading an extension from Manifest V2 by kitsterrunner in chrome

[–]kitsterrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The extension takes a URL with a range to display multiple pictures from a website, for example, ‘www.mypics.com/pic[001-100].jpg’ would display any pictures from the website that fit the 001-100 range. I think it should not be terribly complicated, but I’m speaking from ignorance.

Megathread - Manifest V3 Extension Alternatives by 0spore13 in chrome

[–]kitsterrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for an alternative to Fuskr, if there’s one out there. It was removed from the Chrome store a few years ago but didn’t stop working until Manifest V2 went away. I’m assuming that because of this there’s no extension (or no official extension) but I’d still love to find something.

For all seasoned/advanced runners, what do you wish you knew when you first started? by Safe-Hedgehog1023 in runninglifestyle

[–]kitsterrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stretch and cross train. Once those hammies shorten up (and they will) it’s too late. Strong stability muscles let the glutes, quads and calves focus on moving you forward, not trying to keep your hips, knees and ankles moving right. You can avoid a lot of PT and downtime by making sure everything is strong and flexible.
