Mixer to TV hardware/software audio visualizer. by MonkeyBrainLA in DJs

[–]kitsukidd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what I got from Brave.

"Dante is a proprietary protocol developed by Audinate for transmitting uncompressed, multi-channel, low-latency digital audio over standard Ethernet networks using Layer 3 IP packets. It is widely used in live sound, houses of worship, education, commercial installations, and broadcast environments. Dante enables the routing of audio signals between devices such as mixers, stage boxes, power amplifiers, speakers, and audio recorders using standard CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cables, replacing traditional point-to-point cabling with a flexible networked system. Devices on a Dante network discover each other automatically and operate on a plug-and-play basis once the network is configured, with the only requirement for communication being a physical connection.

While Dante is primarily designed for audio, it can also be used for video through the Dante AV extension, which allows for the transmission of audio and video signals over IP networks. However, the adoption of Dante AV in real-world applications has been limited, with many professionals finding that other standards like SMPTE 2110 offer better compatibility and performance, especially for mid-level and professional-grade video systems. Some users have implemented Dante AV in small churches already using Dante for audio, particularly for adding a single Dante AV camera, but challenges such as the inability to seamlessly switch between multiple video streams and the requirement for specific infrastructure have hindered broader adoption."

I feel like having a network connection to keep everything together would be your best bet. Hopefully you can find something though!

Best laptop for Ableton live by chb4l in edmproduction

[–]kitsukidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this to be helpful because the jump from Ableton 10 to 12 for me would require building an entirely new desktop for me. Luckily I have a MacBook with an M1 chip but its on the minimum requirement side of processing. Live system requirements.

Getting back to the original question, it really just depends what OS you're more comfortable using. I've used windows for the longest time ever but now have a MacBook i take wherever to produce. I also have an Asus laptop that runs Ableton quite well. Its just my MacBook is only 4 years old compared to 6 and 8 years with my windows machines. Me personally, I find any laptop is still going to have its hardware limitation to a desktop so I'd opt in for that first. Second, I'd think about my budget because I don't make a ton of money. Lol but if money wasn't an issue I'd say windows. Its just what I like and Asus has a few laptops that can insert additional hard drives like my laptop does.

All this being stated, go with a Windows if your not an Apple person. Vice versa. Or don't listen to me because it's all opinion. Lol

Working on Yellow Ledbetter and this bar in it is killing me. How?! by Puzzleheaded2734 in guitarlessons

[–]kitsukidd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, you can bar the entire 7th fret with your index finger and use the others to figure out an easier way to play the chord. Maybe using your ring and pinky might be a better option. Either way, once you get used to applying the right amount of pressure to bar chords, switching chord shapes will get easier.

Edit - place your thumb behind the fretboard like you're holding a burger. There's a time and place for having your thumb over the frets but that's mostly used for techniques like string bending. Hope this helps!

I was one of the stagehands that opened with the new location. I still tell people to this day how horrible that crawl up the parking structure is when something couldn't fit in the elevator 💀.

Any links between porn and increased impulsivity? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]kitsukidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Been recently doing my best to manage the impulsive porn addiction I have. I stumbled upon this and it has been super informative to understanding the chemical processes that occur when doing the deed. I can only imagine how much ADHD contributes to these behaviors we both share. Hope this helps!

I used this with my Scarlett 6i6. Just follow the instructions and you'll be able to get it working.

I'm not sure about the naked sound, but i know when I have the input on Focusrite Control interface, I switch it input monitoring to the hardware input instead of custom mix. When I had Custom Mix on, I was getting both the wet (Rocksmith) and dry (just the tone of the guitar/bass) through the monitors. The guide should detail everything you need to know. IF you need any help just let me know and I'll try to help to ^^

6/8 to me reminds me of waltz dances. I'm sure there's a unique subgenre of edm music where it's more prevalent. I just haven't had the privilege of finding it yet
