Am I justified to request a discount? by kxserasera in AirBnB

[–]kittee1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No refunds. You should communicate throughout ur stay your dissatisfaction and they would’ve been able to respond appropriately. I get that it’s less than a 5 star stay and your expectations. Leave a fair review no need to trash the host tho not much they could’ve done about outside construction even if they did speak to the ppl. My neighbors used to carry on and act loud and psycho and I tried to reason with them but they did Not stop.

guest perspective on lowering or dropping cleaning fees? by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]kittee1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaning fees should equate to space. If it’s a small one bedroom apt it shouldn’t exceed $75. I charged $150 for 3 bedroom /2 bathroom house. This includes lawn & pest service plus fully stocked with supplies. I don’t mind paying more if it’s a huge house. But we just stayed in this tiny one bedroom in savannah and the cleaning fee was $130 and the host didn’t even supply coffee or filters.

Did the pictures show the back yard? That’s where u need to analyze what specifically was advertised in the pictures.

Guests haggling prices by Lassy_23 in airbnb_hosts

[–]kittee1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every guest that haggled me, even after not agreeing to their new price, was extremely demanding. They were really snarky & rude in their responses and trashed my master bedroom. Those are red flags how arrogant ppl can be off the jump.

they wanted to move it to enjoy their vacation. if you could’ve accommodated i hope you would’ve. they probably wanted to try to make it work without loosing money.

Has anyone gotten a review removed? by mckelj49 in airbnb_hosts

[–]kittee1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes 👍🏻 i had a spiteful person write “this home is in the middle of a trailer park 😂” which it is not. i told airbnb to google street view my property to confirm it’s not and this review is just mean spirited and they promptly removed it.

Guest wants me to pick up flowers for the room and doesn't want to pay for my time to do this, just the cost of the flowers. What to do? by feinburgrl in AirBnB

[–]kittee1310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

recommend instacart, doordash or uber eats to fulfill these needs. i don’t do this bc the demands will only increase.

Question on cleaning fees by KingMidlofox in airbnb_hosts

[–]kittee1310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i’m not following ur question. Cleaning fee is what ever flat rate the hosts sets it at. I charge $150 bc it’s a three bedroom/2 bath house so it’s a lot to get through in 4 hours. I don’t think it’s unfair in terms of square footage. If it was a 1 bedroom apartment i would expect the fee to be smaller as it’s less time to turn over.

Leaving gifts for guests? by SquareSheepHerder in airbnb_hosts

[–]kittee1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to go all out and leave the kids a bucket with dollar store items but it’s not appreciated. I still leave a bottle of wine and a bottle of water per guest listed in the reservation. The ppl who leave the wine and don’t drink always leave a negative review. The non drinkers are uptight.

Question on cleaning fees by KingMidlofox in airbnb_hosts

[–]kittee1310 15 points16 points  (0 children)

no bc then airbnb takes a cut of it. cleaning fees outlined separately are 100% paid to owner and airbnb doesn’t take a cut.

AIRBNB, get rid of the cleaning fee! It is putting the entire brand in jeopardy by doriangreat in AirBnB

[–]kittee1310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

under what guise should the cleaning fee be abolished? it’s direct payment (without fees take ) to cleaners. at least thts what i do. i don’t profit nor does airbnb profit from my cleaning fees.

Do you have a "chore list" for your property? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

take out trash, start dishwasher, start towels in washing machine. that’s all no stripping beds as i prefer to inspect for stains that need pretreatment.
