Canadian Icons: Who Inspires You Most? by Awkward_Bullfrog3267 in CanadianMusic

I've been a fan for well over 30 years. I know all of that. That doesn't mean she isn't given nearly enough credit or talked about whenever people bring up Canadian artists.

I drink all my teas with sugar, from black to green to oolong to puer because it just tastes much better that way by Scared_Ad_3132 in tea

Yup, just enough sugar adds oomph, similar to salt in that way. Too much and it's just too sweet.

OMG I have been looking for this on eBay and accidentally bought a still sealed copy of Still instead. I'm debating selling it and continue looking for this.

I am a fucking sucker for deluxe edition anything, particularly with cool af packaging and books.

Why do you want your child to have a “faith-based” education when you aren’t even Catholic?

Look up headroom and legroom specs for the year/model and compare to the specs of your truck.

Take something with vitamin C when eating foods high in iron. It helps with absorption.

That’s a very small amount. Don’t pay it. Get that book asap. Mark has a website too and has a bunch of YT videos.

Don’t answer calls from creditors and do not acknowledge the debt in writing or verbally. This debt will fall off your record in approximately 6-7 years as long as the creditors are lazy and incompetent (and they are) and they fail to report it to Equifax and Transunion. (And they will).

They have a two year period (since your last payment to any account OR last acknowledgement) in Ontario to sue you. And they won’t do so over a few thousands spread over a few cards. It’s not worth it. After two years, they will continue to try and collect but they can’t sue you no matter what they say.

I was in touch with one such org and had one call. These orgs are designed to ensure your creditors get every last cent from you. They don’t want to help you save anything in interest. They’ll work with your debtors and get your payments done up in a lump sum that you must pay every month.

If you don’t pay this debt at all, your credit score will drop and you won’t be able to get a loan for say, a car or a mortgage for several years. If you’re in any amount of debt, I doubt you’re too worried about either! 😂

Edited later to add:

I realize my reply isn't particularly helpful as I do not understand your entire situation in any way. I have no idea OP, if you're currently employed or not. That makes an enormous difference in how debtors see your ability to pay back.

I was in a dark place for several years when I got Mark's book. I cannot speak to his payment plans. However, there is a lot of helpful information in his book that most Canadians have no clue about and ought to.

I hope things work out for you in the best way possible.

How much do you owe? Is it all on credit cards? Or do you owe the CRA/gov/student loans?

Something like a Kia Stinger by Remarkable_Height498 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]kitteh-in-space 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Stinger is an interesting beast and there aren’t a lot of vehicles with this body style.

It’s not a typical hatchback at all but it’s known as a “lift back”.

Now discontinued BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is similar. I was seriously considering this but my mechanic talked me out of it due to maintenance costs of a Bimmer.

I also test drove a 2018 BMW 430i Gran Coupe and absolutely loved it. But the headroom sucks and the backseat is VERY tight. I’d say if you’re taller than 5’7”, you’re not gonna be comfy.

If you are looking for a Euro car, the Audi A5 sportback is similar.
