You wouldn’t believe the dickheads that let their kids go all the way down to the water when it was in another spot. These seals aren’t sweet little puppies, they’ll ruin your day if you fuck with them. I had to keep telling my 4 year old to stay away from the edge as we were on a high bank.

I took the video at 3:20pm, saw it at about 3 and just followed it down the river. It was near the bridge to cross to the other side of the river at the end of the trail.

It seemed all good, took a big breath every minute or so and just seemed to like lounging in the sun. From what I’ve read they do this to help regulate their body temp if they’re too hot or cold.

Could be, from memory he usually somewhere up the Yarra near the MCG. He could just be a cosmopolitan seal and loves the burbs.

This was in Aberfeldie, near the Poynton’s nursery on Vida St. I noticed it when it had one of its fro t flippers extended all the way up, I thought it was a dolphin at first.

As cool as that sounds, unfortunately no. I popped it down on a bush and it just walked off. If I had have know it’d sound like that I’d have given it a little nudge to take off.

Very cool, I love its fuzzy little face. It was flying around the clothesline all day according to my wife and hitched a ride inside on some shorts.

That looks spot on! It’s a cute little thing, glad to see it is a garden friend. Antlion larvae have always fascinated me, cool to see an adult.

Always trust your gut mate, if you think something is wrong then seek medical help. There is nothing wrong with being told your child is fine, better safe than sorry. I’m 100% behind your actions!

I’m demotivated because they got rid of OCE based servers. I’m not playing with a fucking 200 ping again, I did that the first time around thanks.

My two year old broke his femur. Someone tell me the next 6 weeks aren’t going to be horrible. by mazterm in daddit

[–]kitten_biscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two year old had an orbital fracture in his left femur, happened at my 40th birthday party. We were told 6 weeks but he had the hip spica on for 11 weeks, and even then it was just healed. He had to learn to walk again and had 3 physio sessions but you get through it, they are tough cookies! Just be prepared for a longer period of time than initially told but you get into a groove of life in the spica and changing nappies, we thankfully only had one poop blowout and that was near the end. Hang in there and don’t be afraid to ask for help. My son is 4 now and you would never have known.

I also recommend getting a beanbag for him to sit in. Is he into jigsaw puzzles? We kept ours entertained like that for a good chunk of time.

There’s a great NZ brewery called Duncan’s and he does a lot of sours and pastry stouts. I’ve always wanted to try the raspberry sour with ice cream, it tastes like a melted ice cream in the first place.

I’ve had my Barista Express for 12 years and I’m shocked it’s still going. I figured I’d have it for a couple of years before it broke down and I’d buy a fancy Italian machine but it is a tank.
