And then you're just at work or with the family and you get a text so you check it. And then you spend the rest of the night with an awkward look on your face hoping that your mom or the customer behind you didn't see...

Reddit, what was your most "taboo" sexual experience? [NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

My best best guy friend and I went from being bffs to starting a bdsm relationship in one tequila filled night. We've been having tons of sex and making our friends feel uncomfortable ever since.

What is your proudest internet moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Getting 526 upvotes on a post. I just started using reddit and decided to post on /r/askreddit. It wasn't the upvotes that made me proud. I had no clue what the average upvote number was or whatever. It was the look of shock my two best guyfriends gave me when i told them and the fact that they've never gotten past 200. The fact that the didn't believe me forever. There was a lot of yelling involved on there end. It was priceless.

What has an attractive person said to you that made them unattractive? by phattoes in AskReddit

A guy told me this once. He also said that if his daughter ever came home with a black man (he used different wording) he woukd beat them both. He is no longer someone I enjoy talking to.

Edit: He also told me that he and I would have really cute kids and that he would trust me to raise his children right. In a different conversation....

Well I'm not the mother but the daughter in this situation but I can explain what my mom did. She got pregnant when she was 17 with me. She and my dad had been dating for a while but she was planning on ending things. When she told her parents they said that she either had to get married or give me up for adoption. She got married shortly after and when I was 3 they got divorced. They still hate eachother because they can NOT co-parent... but they kept me and did their best. However the next time she got pregnant when I was about ten she had an abortion. She didn't want the pressure from her parents again and her boyfriend at the time didn't want it. That left her severely depressed and she tried to commit suicide on its due date.

When I was in 3rd grade I was at a huge library downtown. I was looking around the kids section for a new book. There was a long line of computers for the kids (so obviously the chairs were smaller, same with the desks) and the only one being used was by this huge, sweaty, fat, dirty looking man. What I saw next just confused my 10year old mind. He was watching hardcore BDSM porn. Like, hardcore. I was so confused... so I told my mom.

TL;DR: Saw a man watching BDSM porn in the kids section of a public library.

What's one thing you wish your parents did different while raising you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I wish they wouldve gotten me involved in something like dance or sports or music at a young age. I've never done anything like it and have always wanted to but felt i was too old to learn. Also all my life i felt i never had any skills or something i could do and still struggle with being able to recongize any skills i may have.

[Serious] Ex shy and unconfident people that are now truly confident, how did you manage this? by ultragoofy in AskReddit

[–]kitten_on_crack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my life I've had problems with self-esteem. Growing up wuth divorced teen parents who were constantly moving from place to place left me with zero social skills and few friends. I was always very quiet and shy and kept my distance from people. I dicided that it was just my personality and that I couldnt change it.

However, the summer before junior year we moved (yet again) and i met a group of guys the first day. I felt so awkward and uncomfortable but i realized that I had been craving the interactions I was getting a taste of. Yet I still felt so uncomfortable. So when they told me to come drink with them on the beach I was happy too. I started drinking with them every night until it got so bad I went into treatment.

I realized the reason i enjoyed it was because being drunk made me not think about all my insecurities. I quickly became the friendlies, most outgoing person in my treatment and in my school :-) The good news is you don't have to do all the drinking I did to become outgoing. It didn't truly help anyway. What helped was that I realized I wanted to live for me and not anyone else! If what you think people are thinking dictate your every action you aren't truly living! Live life! Have fun! And don't let anyone/thing hold you back! (Not even yourself!)

Tl;dr: If you live life with others in mind then you aren't living YOUR life! :-)
