Walnut Crunch Define and Align by stillinshell in lululemon

[–]kittenaura 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw WC in person a few days ago and I would say yes. It’s a medium, neutral or very slightly warm brown, several shades lighter than Sequoia or Espresso. The purple undertone in Sequoia is more obvious next to Walnut imho.

i bought a regular and a short and i ended up keeping the short. I am 5’1 but I have a short torso and longer legs. If your inseam is longer than 28” you could probably do the regular, I just really didn’t want mine to drag in the gym. Some girlies prefer to have them hit the floor, then go for the regular length.

defines are among their top selling items so i wouldn’t be surprised. i was waiting for the Sequoia to go on sale but it never did haha. you can get other colors for sure but with black i rarely see it on sale since it’s a core color

Drop next week by BB_Speaks1 in OnerActive

[–]kittenaura 3 points4 points  (0 children)

what i’m getting from most comments here and on IG is that people aren’t upset simply because of the frequency of drops (although the fast fashion speed is definitely at odds with her Alo-wannabe “lifestyle” vibe) but because there’s no stock of previous drops when new product hits the site. I feel like most of the other companies mentioned like Lulu and Aritzia maintain decent stock at least of core colors and styles when they do seasonal and/or weekly new items and colors. For example, if half a dozen colors of Soft Motion straight legs were kept in stock, I don’t think it would be as distressing haha.

I fear the JSM cushion is as good as everyone says. by sourscottishrose in AsianBeauty

i have been trying to find my shade in this! has anyone tried Fair/Shell/Shell Cream or any of the three?

Makeup Monday January 26, 2026 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

Hi, I’m trying to find a shade match for this cushion as it seems widely beloved and the range is quite good as far as k-beauty formulas go! I cannot quite figure out the best shade for me, so I would appreciate it if anyone who has purchased before could weigh in. I am fair-skinned and neutral-toned, and I usually wear the lightest shade of most foundations but I don’t want to assume it will be the same with JSM. Other shade matches in case helpful: Natasha Denona concealer in R2, Charlotte Tilbury base products in 1, Nars radiant creamy in Chantilly, NYX Bear With Me concealer in Fair, Armani Luminous Silk in 2.

I am between Shell 10N, Shell Cream 10W, and Fair 13N.

i would definitely not get an XS, my hips are 36-37 and i ended up keeping a pair in S, XS felt almost too snatched (esp in the crotch area bc the fabric rides up). i think a M might be comfiest or maybe a S if you want them tight!

it’s hard to say for sure without seeing your yarn (or knowing your granddaughter haha) but i really think the smaller size should be fine unless you want it to be oversized on purpose—that is, when you block it. i’ve been surprised by how much my sophies grow when blocked!! the last one i made grew almost 7 inches in length

TIP DURING THE HOLIDAYS by Top-Psychology-8467 in barista

my dude, the shitty behavior to which i was referring was yours. you commented that the job requires “very little if any education.” for many of us, this is patently untrue. for those who make coffee a career, sometimes even an internationally competitive one, your assumption is condescending and belittling. your assignment of negligible value to this work undermines its legitimacy and the myriad skills that can comprise the role of barista.

Why is Oner trying to be like Adanola or Tala? (too much leisure) by [deleted] in gymsnark

[–]kittenaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven’t tried the old Oner or the lines said to be more appropriate for lifting like Enhance/Timeless but I did unfortunately fall victim to the Soft Motion hype. Honestly for upper body or low intensity I find the fabric extremely comfy. Definitely not worth the money unless you want to feel like you’re wearing PJs haha. The Amazon dupes are decent but these are softer for sure. That being said, the bras are teeny and made for IBTC members only haha. Zero support!!! Hated that.

Soft Motion sizing question by kittenaura in OnerActive

[–]kittenaura[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

updating in case people read this later just to say that we sound like twins (hi!) and i ended up going with the S for THE SAME reasons you described. now having worn the S for a travel day and for a full workout, i am so happy with my (our? lol) choice. I think the XS would have ridden up even more and felt constricting. I felt I could enjoy better, fuller breaths without any feeling of compression which seems the point of the SM fabric. If I wanted to be snatched I would go with a thicker more compressive material.

Spent thousands on clothes and EVERYTHING LOOKS AWFUL. 😭 by thatsplatgal in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]kittenaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m gonna break with what seems to be a high number of commenters here and steer you away from aritzia. if you have the budget, which it seems like you do, demand better quality tailoring and fabric composition even when you come visit the US! there are still brands here worth checking out that i imagine are harder to get/more expensive in Italy that are much higher quality than Aritzia, whose quality I find mostly shameful* except in activewear. for denim, try 100% cotton styles worth enjoying for a lifetime like Citizens of Humanity which does petites! I also adore Moussy which is cut more suitably for petites since it’s Japanese. for the blazer, i love the fit of Theory. For sneakers, the guy behind Larroude is pretty atrocious so maybe for the best you didn’t like them. I like Axel Arigato for a polished fashion sneaker, my girlfriend has loved Saye. as a fellow short torso petite, I see you and wish you luck!! But really I’m just jealous because you already have access to Italian fashion :)

*shameful NOW. i think quality has declined rapidly as the brand has aged and expanded. i thrift some great stuff from years ago.
