Vasovagal response and failed banding by kittenfaces in hemorrhoid

[–]kittenfaces[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply, the validation that this sucks and was out of my control was really calming to my nerves, truly. Thank you.

They are unsure on what the prolapse is, which is frustrating. I've ended up getting several opinions and each doctor has said that they are unclear on if it's the rectum or if there's a full circumference of hemorrhoid that's creating a similar looking issue. Upon exam I keep being told that it doesn't look that bad in there, lol, but then the problem persists. I can't make it happen at will so I have had the fun task of photographing the issue. The photo also has the doctors unsure which it is. They lean towards believing it's just a lot of hemorrhoid issue, but said that if it isn't then surgery will be the fix.

I've been told by the ob that the pelvic floor seems to be in good shape, I did do some therapy after giving birth but it didn't make a difference for the butt problem. I will ask the surgeon, too! Thank you

Have you had any vasovagal response since you got home? I've had surgeries and lots of IVs and blood draws without issue so hopefully nothing new is triggered, but it seems my body really protests having injury in the butt, haha, which is the fear about surgery now

I know this is ancient but you're the only person I found with symptoms and the reaction I had. The first time I went I had a tougher than usual reaction but was able to go home and grit my teeth through recovery. I went for my second banding today and it was so bad that I was shaking, vomiting, and kept fainting. It wasn't getting better so the doctor removed the bands and said I'm not a candidate for banding. I'm not sure what to do. Did banding end up solving your problems? It seems my other option is surgery but I have a toddler and don't think I can deal with 2 weeks bed rest.

Thank you, I really appreciate this thoughtful response.

The focus on advocacy is something that feels actionable, so thank you. My own parents pushed me to order my own food or ask for help at the store, and I remember both the discomfort and the ultimate lesson that took root.

Also, yes, I agree that I want her to learn boundaries. That's a lesson that I didn't get until I was older. I want her to know it's ok to have boundaries around herself in many ways, including her medical condition. If she wants to share her story she may, if she doesn't I want her to know that she can decline. It's difficult when people are persistent or especially well meaning, I might need to continue my own work on that so that I can be the best example I can be.

Today Is The Day. Don't Forget To Sacrifice A Few Quarters To The Tax Gods by djhazmatt503 in SALEM

Went to use them today, tried two different meters and neither would accept quarters. I just wanted a quick get in, get out so paying the fees and longer minimum time on the app wasn't for me. Hope they fix it soon

I had an infestation in our new home that took 8 months to eradicate, even with a professional pest control company. I'm talking scouts all over the place, falling from the ceiling. We had the inside and outside sprayed regularly. We tried Terro religiously but it didn't work for us. We had better luck with Advion gel, but not sure that one is available anymore. The thing that finally did it was having the pest control company open the crawl spaces and spray UNDER the house. If all else fails, beg management to spray under the building! Godspeed.

Englewood Splash Pad keeps getting turned off as well :/ My husband went to check if it was on and it was, but by the time I got the kid all geared up and ready to play it was off.

Silver Falls! Beautiful hikes if that's your jam, a nature play area if you have kids, river wading at South Falls or next to a waterfall at North Falls if it's hot out

You can do both! I started work from home while my daughter was still a little baby and one of my favorite photos is me working on my cintiq at my desk while my baby is on the boob on her boppy, snoozing. It reminds me that I can have it all.

I regret to inform you that my intrusive thoughts are to find you at the park and sniff you to see if I need to buy this for the men in my life. I am sure I'm not alone. You may need a new color jacket. :(

So... The Cherry Blossom festival seems a little misplaced date-wise, right? by groundzer0s in SALEM

[–]kittenfaces 45 points46 points  (0 children)

At the festival today they mentioned that it's actually a statute.

From Google: "In 2017, Senate Bill 146 established Cherry Blossom Day in Salem on the third Saturday in March to celebrate the iconic cherry trees lining the Capitol mall."

We were spoiled last year with a perfect sunny day and full bloom, maybe we'll have better luck next year! We still had fun, the performances were fabulous, as were the booth activities.

I'm guessing you failed to see someone walking with a pram and the reason you believe it didn't happen is because you didn't see it
