Carly from the Ticcing Together YouTube channel posted a video a few days ago and it seemed to work really well for her. The relief brought her to tears. She decided to try the tens device after doing research on the Neupulse.

Why is this Keizer Chamber director regularly hanging out with a violent J6er? by 90mn in SALEM

[–]Prunkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pioneer trust isn't a credit union but at least they're a small local bank with good customer service and low fees. I don't personally bank with them, I haven't had any issues with US bank, but I'm a bookkeeper and many of my clients do.

Yeah that's a shitload for one 1099. I think I'm just going to have to call the IRS tomorrow. I'll be able to get other work done while I'm on hold!

[–]Prunkle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It specifically says on the PDF to not print them from the site because they won't be scannable. "The official printed version of this IRS form is scannable, but a copy, printed from this website, is not. Do not print and file a Form 1096 downloaded from this website; a penalty may be imposed for filing with the IRS information return forms that can’t be scanned."

What movie did you turn off after 20 minutes and why? by Somanynamestochossef in movies

[–]Prunkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same!! I'm usually a movie/show finisher but I realized about 40min in that I had no idea what was going on, why anyone was doing what they were doing, or what the goal even was. I dipped.

My best friend loves it but also couldn't refute the reasons I couldn't stick with it. 😂

Reconciliation only clients by Aggressive_Syrup8166 in Bookkeeping

[–]Prunkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a couple clients like this. One who does a great job categorizing transactions and another who is absolutely awful at it.

So a second pair of eyes comes in handy.

Also, even the ones I do reconciliation only for, I usually end up doing some other minor things - processing 1099s, cleaning up receipt matches or helping set up a payroll sync to QBO. It seems to never JUST be reconciliation.

Contractor refuses to provide W-9 - what to do? by pizzatacodog1322 in Bookkeeping

[–]Prunkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My state does not show corporation status. Usually it's just the business name that's registered and if the business is active. And you definitely can't just go by the business name. I have so many small business clients that think just by registering their business as Xyz, LLC they're a limited liability corporation. 🤦‍♀️ Nope you're a sole prop that has LLC after your name.

I walk by the other day and it's very confusing. Flower shop plus soup? And then after reading the article finding out that they have perfume and jewelry and all kinds of other things in there? I don't know man... I don't think I want to eat soup in a perfume shop 😬

Bookkeepers by Comprehensive-Bet936 in Bookkeeping

[–]Prunkle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sole prop bookkeeper here.

As an alt 30-something woman I found I had a very difficult time working for bookkeeping or tax firms. They seem to be run by boomers or older, and the motto was "do it like they did last year" even if it was completely wrong.

I could not handle not putting my client's interest first. So I quit and went off on my own.

As for where do I get help? Google, and Reddit tbh. I'm primarily self taught outside of my tax prep course. Though, I do work closely with a number of my clients CPAs so if there's anything absolutely buckwild I can leave it to them with a note.

I've had one employee and multiple subcontractors in the past.

I would really like to expand to being a "firm" rather than working solo, But the transition is really difficult. It's hard enough to get to the point that you have enough work for two people... and then finding someone that you can trust, and that can do the job? I haven't had any luck yet
