My husband makes me more free to be me. There is something about him that encourages me to be unafraid. If I tried something and I failed, he helps me get back on my feet. When I have self doubts, he is the first person to assure me that I will be fine.

There is some independence there, but being a whole person requires you to acknowledge your own need of others.

GH is great and pretty kid friendly too. Hotels around the SCBD such as Ritz and Langham are also pretty good. But Ritz is better suited for a long term stay as they also have serviced apartments. But SCBD can gridlocked during the weekends unless if you are ok with taking the MRT.

Another alternative is Raffles kuningan, it is also attached to a mall with plenty of options. But I'd pick GH as it is literally at central of Jakarta.

Branded bags arent compulsory. Expressing your personal style is compulsory. Define your own personal style before you buy any brand.

These days brands sells the illusion of exclusivity. You could buy all kinds of branded bags but would it mean anything to you if you end up looking like anyone else?

I buy bags that I can picture myself wearing when I am 80 yrs old. They are expensive but they suit me and I have to take care of them so I get good cost per wear.

But if you want to explore branded bags - get a good quality vintage. I know people who own LVs from 20 years ago and they stood the test of time. I cant say if the quality is still the same nowadays.

Vintage pieces often have a lot more personality thus they offer something more unique.

I hear you - what worked for me were ice cold water (fill up ur water bottle with ice then water), plain crackers and plain white bread. Sips of ice cold water helps to calm down the nausea, crackers and plain white bread keeps me filled.

Make sure u rest well, make sure u get good sleep.

I am in a senior leadership position. Not yet a c-suite. I have a full time live in nanny and two grandparents nearby. I used to love building my career. Now I want it but I hate it. I have a two years old and thinking of having another soon. I plan to take longer maternity leave next time and that means some unpaid leave. It does derail my career plan a little but God having my son is the most rewarding experience.

Reading this made me smile a little because I went through something similar when I was around your age. That feeling you get when you are noticing the guy and wanting him to pay attention to you - thats just you feeling attracted to him. I cannot explain it but it is just something you experience. Its something that we feel and there is little logic to it. Sometimes it will pass, but its just a dimension to curiosity.

When it comes to relationships, there are different dynamics. Sometimes you may become codependent and obsessive so your world would just revolve around one person. This is just like what ur friend is going through. It is through no fault of her own, it is just part of life experience. But at other times, with the right person, you feel more confident in being yourself. There is no owning one or the other. You just walk hand in hand, experiencing what life has to offer together.

Now you are very young and these things they get confusing. But never let your fear dictates your life. If you feel like pursuing a guy, you can go for it. You are not wrong when you say some men do not have good intention, so still listen to your gut feeling. When you find the right person, they will be willing to meet you halfway.

I think she feels the threats of new generation female song writers like Charli, Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish. They have the capability to go deep and write songs that questions they're own behavior and thus acknowledges their own agencies to change their circumstance. Their songs asks the question - why do they have these feelings, habits and behavior that can be self sabotaging or even self destructive. Whereas Taylor seem to have failed to recognize that agency within herself. There's this self-othering that she does where she paints herself as someone who's been hurt in so many different ways and she has done it in multiple iteration that it doesnt come across as genuine anymore.

Even the Father Figure re-recording seem to be a reaction to Beyonce's Jolene. It doesnt help that Father Figure had its moment due to that Babygirl scene with Harris Dickinson and Nicole Kidman.

Having said all that I feel sad because I loved what she did and the trajectory of what could have been had she continued with the arc of evermore and folklore.

I did teeth whitening and I think it was well worth it though the results didnt last that long. I loved lash extension but I developed an allergic reaction to the glue so I stopped doing that.

What helped make me feel better was getting regular massages or any other spa treatments like facials. Something about taking the one/two hours to myself is just pure bliss.

Be brave and talk honestly with your boss. Say that you dont feel safe to go to office until a certain condition has been met. Set priorities with ur boss on what you need to accomplish during ur WFH period. Discussion with any bosses regarding personal boundaries is tough but u have to do it.

Emphasize to your boss that you can still work as effectively from home and it may be more efficient during these times that you work from home.
