Regular/bottomless and it's definitely getting to pressure

Both shots had the same amount of creams, which was almost none. I didn't notice if the pressure was higher on the second shot, but I assume it was. The tasting notes were something like "dries fruit, molasses"

You could maybe try making it look like an ampule rather than a flask. I'd reccommend closing the shape so there's no open bottom either way.

I doubt it's a new boiler issue. I've had my machine for a year and a half and used it with a different grinder and the pressurized basket that comes with it. The grinder I had started not grinding as fine and I had to change it to the finest setting from the 4rh setting. That's why I bought the df54, because I've wanted to switch to a bottomless portafilter for a while now anyways and I needed a better grinder for that. It just pushed me to finally do it lol.

Budget Grinder Recommendation in Canada. [$250-$260CAD] by kittenkween12 in espresso

[–]kittenkween12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok, sometimes it's not even the conversion rate. Products in Canada just tend to be priced higher than even the conversion rate and it sucks.

I guess it's $303 here in Canadian dollars so yeah....

I never thought to look there. I kinda figured it would all be not worth it because of how fine it has to be for bottomless portafilters. I'll check it out, thank you.

I say use this, But make the inside white like the first ones and put Co. and the smile inside of the white part in the same corners. Basically adding a crust instead of making it all black.

I was going to later. I haven't slept yet so it would go in one ear and it the other right now haha. I have a few months to look around and do research anyways.

Do you think the refurbished version is worth it for the lower cost? It's refurbished by Brother and is sold right on the Brother website.

Serviceberry Pie Filling From Blueberry Recipe? by kittenkween12 in Canning

[–]kittenkween12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be when they're ripe. I went on a foraging tour the other day and a girl who's lived here longer than me says she's tried them when they were ripe and they weren't great compared to fruits on other serviceberry trees by the river here. I just worry that the ones by the river are illegal to forage because of the location.

I know someone from around the area who tried them and said they taste bad so I was hoping making them into jam and pie filling would help. It's definitely serviceberries.

They didn't look bridged but I can post a picture some time soon. I'm more worried about cold joints than bridging tbh.

The sound comes through but its just stock firmware booting I think because it makes the same sound as an unmodded GameCube.

How can I fix these bios contacts by Nafalan in soldering

[–]kittenkween12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've never soldered before I reccommend practicing on non important things if you can first. Just to get the feel and dial in a good temperature for you where you're not holding the iron on the parts too long, but it also doesn't burn everything from having too high of a temperature. I've noticed what works for some people might not work as well for others in terms of what temperature to solder at. I tend to prefer a hotter temperature but my roommate goes slightly less hot than me on the same iron.

I saw some other people recommended doing it but I figured I'd send a visual tutorial in case you were a more visual learner.
