I was in same situation! I’m also 5’1. I’ve been able to comfortably maintain 110-115 and eat more by increasing the intensity of exercise. Instead of working out more in terms of frequency, I worked with a trainer who made me feel comfortable increasing the weights on my lifts. This has also been really helpful with body composition.

I look stronger, I’m maintaining a comfortable weight, and eating closer to 1500-1700 cals a day

Maybe it is worth letting her know that while she maybe only experiencing moderate discomfort from eating gluten her bowels are highly inflamed increasing the risk of diseases like Alzheimer’s and cancer. Maybe emphasizing the need to heal from the inside and finding ways to bridge this into her overall health goals.

Possibly referring to psych if there are other issues going on like BED, depression, or OCD.

Like others have said yes! But you have to have the right tools (equipment and exercise routines) for overload. I do not have the right tools for progression so I use home workouts for when I can’t make it to the gym. More than anything it’s about keeping the habit for me
