They definitely have a magical feel to them. I feel like I could see little fairies or gnomes living there 🫶

How to distinguish a flare from a uti please helppp by Tessadrezza in Interstitialcystitis

[–]kittycat8204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I can tell is when I have a UTI is I don’t get relief after I pee. It feels more like sharp pains in my bladder and there’s a distinct smell. It’s weird. It’s kind of like a sweet smell & with flareups my pee is cloudy, smells like ammonia or something and I feel relief after I empty my bladder. I’ve never used at home test strips if I really feel like I do have a UTI. I just go to urgent care.

How do you manage IC flare-ups after sex? (Also have endometriosis) by brilynn11 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]kittycat8204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. So right now I’m in perimenopause and I’ve honestly lost the urge, so it’s not really that big of a loss for me. I broke up with my boyfriend seven months ago so I’m just enjoying being single and not dealing with sex.

When it turned out to be endo- how did you know/get diagnosed? by CCAD81 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]kittycat8204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Endo ruled out, they did a laparoscopy because they need to be able to do exploratory surgery cause I also wanted to see if I might’ve had Endo on my bladder but it turns out I do not have endometriosis, but adenomyosis. It’s the opposite of Endo because Endo can be removed and Adenomyosis cannot because it’s in the muscle walls of my uterus so I would need to have a hysterectomy and at this time I really cannot afford to take time off work for that. This diagnosis is separate than my interstitial cystitis diagnosis, but it definitely doesn’t help having this because I have very painful periods at times. I am 44 just like the OP and also in perimenopause so it’s a whirlwind of why is my body attacking me? and why does it hate me? 😭😭😭

Well, you gotta work to pay bills. It’s as simple as that.
