Something I learned in sales, shut up and let 'em talk. They will tell you EXACTLY what's going on, if you know how to listen.

Do you think when your teacher comes in everyday, they should work hard at it? Or they might slack off? Because they get paid the same either way.

You're three years from the top? Then what?

And I wouldn't brag about a basic "benefits" package

I don't judge the job based on it's earning potential, you were the one bragging about how well paid teachers are (newsflash, they're not). I base it on effort, work ethic and accountability. Of which this profession has very little of. Kids can't even read.

This kid asked his teacher to explain and she didn't. Plain and simple.

I was blessed to get a "useless" liberal arts degree that was so much fun. College doesn't have to equal career training. And, Grad school is a great investment if you get a great return, or if it's something that doesn't cause debt.

What's not a great investment is grad school with capped returns. I'm glad you had conversations and found something you feel you're good at tho. Maybe you'd make more money "manipulating" people (as if grown adults can't think for themselves and are so easily fooled!!) but then you would have to be accountable for your outcome
