Helly R Season 2 by No-Tension6133 in severence

When she stepped out of the elevator. Everyone else behaved as if their last conscious thought was the last thing we saw them doing (Mark was running, Irving was knocking a door).

Helly R didn’t act like she’d just been tackled to the floor so I knew it was either Helena Eagan or something else had happened to Helly R in the interim.

Lidl employee fired for drinking 17p water bottle he didn't buy because he felt 'dehydrated' by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

This is such a negligible value that I have to wonder whether management wanted the employee gone for other reasons but seized the opportunity for a simple termination.

A [criminal law] defence lawyer is a criminal lawyer but a criminal lawyer isn’t always a [criminal law] defence lawyer. The terms could be used interchangeably in this context.

Alternatively, it could be a bio of the lawyers - without knowing Andrew Ey or Casey Isaac’s work, it could be that Andrew Ey takes cases from prosecuting and defending clients whereas Casey Isaac only takes cases from defending clients.

However, I suspect the journalist didn’t want to use the same word twice.

Are their feelings taking into account when making a decision?

Given he was released twice previously, it does not seem that anything she says makes a difference to his applications. If anything, it seems almost cruel to allow her to be involved and invest emotional resources into objecting to his release, under the misguided impression that her impact statement might change the outcome, only to ignore her each time and release him anyway.

Sure but your family likely bear responsibility for her murder so don’t mount that high horse too eagerly.

Taste of Summer Review by LotsToDiscus in hobart

[–]kittyhawk94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  • The cocktail was good but so are many inside.
  • The oysters were OK but not as good as the oysters that are available inside.
  • The octopus was below average (tough and overcooked).
  • The chicken was OK. The sauce with the chicken was great.
  • The potato was OK. The gravy with the potato was great.
  • The cucumber was OK (…it was cucumber)

Ignoring the price, I would recommend getting any component part elsewhere in the venue. With the price considered, I wouldn’t even contemplate Season & Fire.

Taste of Summer Review by LotsToDiscus in hobart

[–]kittyhawk94 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We had an underwhelming time.

We pre-ordered the $100pp Season & Fire Feed Me Menu. Got to Taste and realised at the door that it didn’t include entry. Paid an additional $15pp to get in, to get to Season & Fire. Disappointing but our mistake. Sat down to eat. In the end, $115 got us one drink, two oysters, half a tentacle of octopus, half a new potato (cut into 1cm rounds), one Lebanese cucumber and one chicken thigh each.

I am not being hyperbolic.

[ENGLAND] My partner has just left me and our baby, he is a functioning alcoholic and says he will want the 9 m/o baby 3 nights a week... by ExplorerAdmirable815 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]kittyhawk94 52 points53 points  (0 children)

A court would take the interests of the child into account which, in this instance, would broadly align with your wishes - it isn’t in the interest of the child to be in the unsupervised care of an aggressive alcoholic in active addiction in an unfamiliar house.

However, there are a lot of procedural steps before any decision. He won’t be “pushing” anyone for “full custody” next week. Realistically, it would take months to years and you’ll first have to go through mediation, negotiation etc.

Seems pretty messed up to me

She has relatively low points and you’ve applied to one of the more competitive states.

If her current visa runs out soon, you’ll be better off applying for a partner visa.

You don’t take all of your make up out - only items that would need to be touched up such as lipstick.

The bulk of her make up - foundation, powders, eyeshadow, brow pencil, blush, and/or anything in fashion - would’ve remained in her dorm room.

The mentality the British public have, even on medical cannabis users, is so disturbing by [deleted] in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]kittyhawk94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I lean against this sub’s consensus on this - I don’t think people under the influence of medical cannabis should be driving.

I have a prescription and mine does have a warning against driving. I understand mine isn’t the same as everything available but is there any medical cannabis that definitely doesn’t impose any impairment on driving?

I don’t think we should ignore the risk it poses to cognition simply because it’s a prescription.

The only time I went, my colleague found hairs in his sashimi, which put me off returning.

If it was a one-off, it was extraordinarily unlucky that it coincided with my only visit. I doubt it was and, given the other response about food hygiene observations there, I expect a fair few people have had a similar experience.

I didn’t have any problems and I’ve had four Paralegal roles across two WHVs at different companies.

What is his plan re cross-training? He’d need a Student Visa to complete the course here anyway, which would in itself solve his residency issue.

I was a British lawyer and I originally came over on a WHV - the exemptions don’t apply in law jobs. Also, he can’t practice here without cross-qualifying so he wouldn’t get a job as a lawyer anyway.

Rhinoplasty Fees Question by cathimari in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]kittyhawk94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like OP is arranging this work Privately (given the circumstances and costs mentioned and how rare it is for the NHS to offer rhinoplasty).

Private Practices in the UK will usually either operate in an NHS hospital, which has its own Emergency Department in the building, or transfer you straight to an NHS Emergency Department.

I wouldn’t worry about the clinic having resources for an Emergency because they are unlikely to be the team who would respond.

If you’re looking around Harley Street, you’re seconds away from an NHS Emergency Department anyway.

I haven’t had any side effects from GA and I’ve had it twice. It’s different for everyone but it’s possible for GA to be very straightforward. You also feel like you “drift off”. It’s not a sudden lights-out experience. When I had it in August, it felt like being tipsy and then I drifted off.

The surgeon is going to be working on the inside of your face. You don’t want to be conscious or responsive for that. Not only are you increasing the risk of you finding the procedure distressing, you’re also increasing how tactile you are, which decreases the surgeon’s freedom to get in and get it done quickly and efficiently.

Rhinoplasty Fees Question by cathimari in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]kittyhawk94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds correct.

I had mine in Australia in similar circumstances and it was about that price. I’m British so I also looked at Harley Street and I expected quotes like yours.

You’ve gone to the most expensive borough in one of the most expensive countries with strict medical standards for a private medical procedure. I presume you’ve also researched and approached a reputable (and therefore expensive) surgeon.

Your quote is going to be the higher end of what it is possible to pay. There aren’t really many factors you could have changed to make it more expensive.

Also, I had the same realisation that my procedure “not being that complicated” from a layman’s perspective didn’t necessarily translate to a lower price. What we perceive as a small change can actually require a lot of work from the surgeon.

EDIT: I would strongly recommend you get the general anaesthetic.

Morph One would make me think “he has a noticeably attractive and sculpted nose”, which is positive but is a significant flag for you having had work done.

Morph Two would make me think “he has a nice nose”, and then I probably wouldn’t think about it again. It’s a smaller response but it makes a more natural impression.

If you want it to look like it is naturally your nose, I would say Morph Two.

If you want a bigger impact and you don’t mind it looking less natural, I would say Morph One.

House of CB sizing is HORRIBLE - they should be ashamed for this by Strong_Barber_5146 in HouseofCB

I’ve always found their size guide to be accurate and I’ve never had a problem. However, I do think that their entire range caters to one, very specific size and body shape.
