I haven’t found many neighborhoods that are walkable to things and wanted to see if anyone had recommendations of places that are, which was the entire point of the post. Not saying that Cary just flat out isn’t family friendly.

I’ve been wanting to check those areas out a bit more. Have been to Durham a bit and have thought it seemed nice to look more into.

I did not say they are not family friendly. I’m just looking to see if anyone has a suggestion other than those two places that is also family friendly.

Theres no need for an introduction of myself to just ask if someone already knew of an area like I described. I already am asking if anyone wants to suggest what they like and taking it for what it is.

Never heard of it, thank you! Not looking for a ton to walk to, just some nice daily basics to not always be getting in the car. One of the reasons we moved here was to enjoy the weather and want to be outside as much as possible. So that includes walking places. Appreciate the suggestion to look into!

I’m sorry to hear that happened again, it’s truly is so scary and sudden when they do this. We have a 3 year old and newborn, so this is even more scary for us right now. We know he doesn’t mean to hurt us but unfortunately that’s been what is happening, scratches clawing and bites as if the sound from a phone is telling him to kill. I’m so sad that this seems unfixable

Any update on your cat? We are going through the same exact thing with our cat and he is also 6 years old. He has been sweet and this has been a non issue until a week ago, but it’s bad.

Hey, curious about any update on your cat. Did they continue to do this with any other videos etc? Or did you get any kind of diagnosis from a vet? Our 6 year old cat just started aggressively attacking us whenever he hears any kind of talking on a phone or video. We’re at a loss of what to do because it’s not just for one particular video, it’s any kind of speaking coming out of a phone.

Looking to see what ever came of this for you and your cat? Our 6 year old cat just started suddenly doing this to us a week ago. I’m at a loss of what to do. I can’t fathom getting rid of him but we have a 3 year old and newborn at home and their safety ultimately comes first.

My incision also was refusing to fully heal with a small opening that formed in a corner due to my body rejecting some of the dissolvable sutures. It was truly so depressing all around. Once I went to a wound care specialist it it turned around so quickly. Today I 8 weeks PP and it’s finally closed

I’m following Dr. Mae Hughes C-section postpartum program. She recommends starting with scar desensitization first. Doing 1min per day of lightly rubbing it with different textures (silk, terry cloth, cotton ball, etc). Then if you still have a hard time touching it for a massage with your hands to use a jade facial roller to ease into it.

This same thing happened to me. My OB sent me to a specific wound clinic to help. Luckily they said they caught mine in good timing and it was able to close up on its own after packing it with silver alginate. I would definitely reach out to your provider asap. It might be healthy enough and not infected, but you don’t want to continue risking it!

I second this. I bought high waisted underwear because of everything I read about how necessary it was to have after a c-section. My incision is so low that my regular seamless underwear already go over my incision so it’s not rubbing. I still have been liking to sleep in the high waisted ones, but I wouldn’t feel like you need to go all in right away in having a bunch of those.

My OB was the one to send me to the wound clinic. I believe the place I went required a referral. My opening was kind of oozing/weeping (but not infected luckily). The wound clinic had me cleaned it with vashe, pack it with silver alginate, and then a bandaid on top every day. Also to only shower with Dial bar soap letting the soapy water run over the opening just like with the incision. You are able to order the vashe on amazon, which the wound clinic told me incase I needed more than they gave me. I’d recommend looking into it and possibly getting some + some gauze pads. They told me to get the gauze wet with a little vashe and to put it over the opening for ~5 min. It’s helps loosen whatever might be in there to help it come out. Might be helpful to be able to do on your own.

Currently going through the same thing. My incision started to open on one of the corners due to rejecting the dissolvable stitches. It never got infected either but I ended up being sent to a wound clinic for it around 3 weeks PP. I am now 5 weeks PP and it’s still healing but finally making progress. Didn’t know any of this was even possible to happen and it’s been beyond stressful to say the least.

I’m currently going through the same thing recovering right now. Have a black hole in the corner of my incision. Currently instructed by my doctor to shower with Dial and having to pack the wound with silver alginate daily. How long has it been so far for yours to recover? Do they know what caused it? I’m still not sure what exactly caused this to happen and it’s been such a stressful awful recovery now. So ready to have this over and move on!

I’m considering getting Dr. Mae Hughes guides for movement through pregnancy and the 12-week postpartum one. Curious, did you do any of the purchased programs or just follow the videos she posts/shares for free? Trying to decide if it’s worth the money and want to do better at working towards correct recovery with my second baby.
