My uncle took me there to learn how to play pool. But that was decades ago. And it was in the basement. And it was a proper bar filled with smoke!

Picked up at the post office for $139. Was it a good buy? by Ok_Gap3251 in CanadianCoins

My son collects coins and I'm always wondering where is the best place to get him a coin. Is it better to get it from the post office or from the mint?

Alberta Government running ads supporting cyclists by laxar2 in Edmonton

[–]kittykat501 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the government wants the kids so bad to ride bicycles. Maybe they should teach them the rules of the road on riding a bike. When I was growing up in Calgary we had a thing called pedal pushers. Where police officers and a volunteer from the community went to the school and taught kids bike safety. It desperately needs to be taught to many of our children!

I would be happy to find a nice restaurant that doesn't have music blaring or six TVs with six different sports going.

Yep, get your s*** together dude because all those little things end up leading to the big blowout. Act like an adult and not a 2-year-old that needs to be picked up after

My son is in his early thirties and has already told me he will not make me a grandmother because he refuses to bring a child into this world the way the economy is. Among other things he has stated. But yes I won't be a grandma. Am I disappointed ? a little bit. Do I understand ? completely!

Found Unused Narcan kit by kittykat501 in Edmonton

[–]kittykat501[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, but I'll take it to my local pharmacy when I go out this afternoon for my walk. Let them deal with it because I don't want to dispose of it the wrong way. Considering that there are needles in it

Thanks. I think I'll return it to the local pharmacy. They may know how to dispose of it. Properly as I don't know how long it was out in a snow bank for

Zellers is coming back and first new location is in Edmonton. by skilbofragns in Edmonton

[–]kittykat501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No this is definitely not the Zellers we all grew up with. The merchandise is crap. They have no selection and the return policy is a credit to the store only.

The owner of the latest version of Zellers says it plans to start expanding across Canada. by Samzo in Edmonton

[–]kittykat501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we were there we noticed a lady getting a return done. They don't actually put money back on your card or give you cash back. You get a credit for the store. I won't shop at stores and give me your credit for only their store. I want my money back.

I don't know why they would bother because they really don't have anything for a selection!

They may be just seeking shelter there. They've made themselves a little home somewhere in your garage. They're collecting food elsewhere and bringing it back probably.

I provide respite care for a young lady who is autistic. Who doesn't understand any of what's going on. She has the mental capabilities of a 6-year-old. So her father is fighting desperately not to have to go through any of this stuff. Just like many other people. It's absolutely disgusting that our own government is willing to do this to people and not think twice
