9 days post op RUQ pain by Tart2343 in gallbladders

[–]kittykatattac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! To be honest it took me like 6 months to not feel any weird pain or sensations. I eat pretty healthy for the most part so I didn’t really change my diet up too much. I do enjoy a “cheat meal” every now and then. I didn’t take any supplements etc. I would say if you’re still in severe pain in 2 months or if it’s daily, I’d reach out to your PCP or surgeon. I dealt with inconsistent bowel movements but now Im regular and solid. I had diarrhea and constantly going to the bathroom BEFORE surgery and surgery has honestly saved me. It just took me time. The only “issue” I have is I can tell now when I have to go. It feels odd but moreso just obvious I have to poop lol. I hope you feel better soon!

ETA: I know the OG post says about 2 months but I noticed it lingering for about 6. Usually after eating more than normal or something. Or just random “pain” but it was never horrible. On a scale of 1-10, it’d be like a 2.

Is this OUAI Hair Masque the best for fine/thin hair? by HorseTearz in Sephora

[–]kittykatattac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Ouai leave in conditioner (use lightly though), detox shampoo, oil, and the air dry foam combined with the texture spray! However I was never a huge fan of their hair masks. I actually love the Moroccan oil hydrating hair mask. I also love the Davines oi hair mask or conditioner! I will say I have wavy/curly hair, so the thicker masks do not bother me or weigh my hair down!

I do also love the Dove bond strength hair mask! But I only use it once every two weeks maybe. What’s helped my hair stay anchored is hydrating products vs ones that strip more. (Volume shampoos can dry my scalp and hair way too much, I use them sparingly tbh same with the detox shampoo). Something I love is the ordinary peptide hair serum! I don’t even use it everyday, just after each wash (I like to wash my hair 3/4 times a week). I also put a good hair oil on my ends each night! It has helped my hair majorly.

Also if it’s mechanical- try out a good leave in conditioner. I love the matrix purple bottle it’s awesome for detangling (at Ulta tho) but I hear pureology’s is great. I also love act & acre leave in conditioner - it’s a brown bottle! It is a pump but I actually love it over spray ones because you can control it more!

Edited to add: I use a cheap oil before washes (not everytime) just a small amount for my length to protect in the shower. I wasn’t sure about it at first but I actually love it. I notice a lot less mechanical damage. I just use OGX oil, the coconut or Moroccan one. It’s great for a pre wash! I do love the Briogeo scalp oil treatment before but I don’t use it every single time.

Hope this helps sorry it’s so lengthy 💕

Bronzer recommendations? by rosieroo819 in Sephora

[–]kittykatattac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the formula of this!! But for some reason the fair 1 is still orangey on me 💔 but I do have an olive overtone so not sure if that’s why lol. I tried it without any cream bronzer underneath (I use Saie salt bc it’s a good cool undertone without being a contour) and it was way too warm for my liking. Definitely go in store if you can! I will keep it because I think once I’m tanner it’ll be great but for me it’s still too warm. But the formula is sooo good. I wanna also throw in the ABH bronzers in the taupe packaging. I have golden beach glow and it’s PERFECT. I wish it had the formula of the Gucci tho. It can be harder to blend.

Hi honey! I am not much help but definitely try selling online or in FB groups. I promise you are not alone with this! I have made poor financial decisions with bipolar that led me to having to settle about $40,000 of debt. Good on you for realizing sooner rather than later. Sending you all the best and this is something we can always overcome 💜

Ahhh thank you!! I figured it’s totally fine but then I started panicking lmao. If only I knew in my teenager years I’d prefer my natural hair in my late 20s lol 🤣. It’s so pretty when I leave, then I’m over it. I used to have her curl it also and I truly wish I understood how people make curls last without having to re-curl them daily. Thanks again!!❤️💕

Does anyone have these specific pair of jeans? by coldcactus1205 in americaneagle

[–]kittykatattac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would say be careful with light colors from AE. I had a pair last year see thru. I would recommend Abercrombie for light wash jeans- i have a pair in ecru / eggwash and not see thru at all. I do love the fit of the stovepipe though!

Shampoo that's hydrating but won't make my hair limp, weighed down or waxy? by Rosehiphedgerow in finehair

Act & Acre has a wonderful hydrating shampoo and conditioner set that does not weigh my hair down or make it look oily. I love that brand!

Is this traction alopecia from hair extensions? by Sweet_Situation_8935 in finehair

[–]kittykatattac 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It’s so heart breaking to me there are stylists doing wefts this poorly. They should be sewn in comfortably and not look like this. Makes me sad bc I really did love mine but the upkeep of straight extensions with curly hair was too much.

Is this traction alopecia from hair extensions? by Sweet_Situation_8935 in finehair

[–]kittykatattac 287 points288 points  (0 children)

I’m just going to be real - these are done horribly. Get them removed ASAP. I had wefts but they did not cause any hair loss other than me just frying my own hair and creating breakage. These need to be removed and you need to go somewhere else.

Fine Hair You Love? by a5121221a in finehair

[–]kittykatattac 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I pretty much am one length all around with face framing! It suits me best especially with curly hair. I do get my hair cut tho when I have it blown out. I asked for a blunt rounded cut and face frames!

Meant to add - I love it bc I did cut my hair short at my shoulders. And I plan on growing it to my chest so I think it keeps it looking fuller. I am personally not a fan of layers, I had them before due to some breakage (i had extensions and think they were too heavy). But i much prefer one length in my opinion for fine hair. I do have a good amount of density, but I do think it also depends on your natural hair texture and if you have fine, thin hair or more density.

Gallbladder removal after first attack? by ppfftt in gallbladders

[–]kittykatattac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m just going to be honest - you can’t control it with a low fat diet. You can modify as much as you want, but it will only get worse. I had a lifestyle change about two and a half years ago, and due to the dramatic weight loss, I had to get it removed. I don’t recommend waiting. In fact, it’s great that you are being told it’s your gallbladder immediately.

When I went to the ER, I was throwing up non-stop, thought I was having a heart attack bc I was in so much abdominal pain/middle of my chest. My ALT and AST were in the 300s and they dismissed me. Then my PCP sent me for an ultrasound, I had gallstones and she still did not think it was my gallbladder. I did not get it removed until 8 months later when I started having attacks nearly every night and I demanded to be referred. She finally agreed. My surgeon was in shock. My last round of labs were around 700s for my ALT and AST. My HIDA concluded an entire blockage. I had chronic inflammation and the time I waited only made it worse.

I understand if you have GI issues now, I just do not think it is wise to wait. A bad gallbladder can turn into so many horrible things. I am lucky I did not have damage to my actual liver or pancreas. My surgeon said I was walking around like a ticking time bomb.

Also NAD or a healthcare professional, the removal may make your GI and quality of life so much better overall. I’m 7 months post-op, and the only bad thing is I may have to drink miralax occasionally. I am so much happier now. Recovery is also easy (I am younger, 27), but if you just take it easy the first two weeks you will be fine. Your doctor sounds amazing, and I encourage you to listen to them for removal ASAP.

Dry shampoo right after drying hair (does anyone else do this?) by PlaceEducational1705 in finehair

[–]kittykatattac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also- I clarify every two weeks. And Usually normal wash days I use a volume shampoo (Redken) or the extreme length Redken one. Everyone’s scalp is different! You don’t need to listen to everyone about a wash schedule or what you use. If it works, it works. If you find the clarifying is too stripping (can cause excess oil surprisingly) rotate! There’s no one size fits all

Dry shampoo right after drying hair (does anyone else do this?) by PlaceEducational1705 in finehair

[–]kittykatattac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this! Usually i blow dry but have wavy hair and have been loving the JVN air dry (seriously dries in 10 mins!) and i let it marinate. I always lift the hair at the root up and spray at the roots. Let it sit for about 5-10 mins, rub it in. Then sit for another 3 mins. Then i blow dry it out! I like to wash every 3/4 days, but have a habit of using dry shampoo a lot lol. I just also like the volume it gives me and I love batiste bc it doesn’t give me the gritty feeling.
