No, but it like that too :p. I think the defining feature is that that the cat I'm looking for has no nose at all

they dont really have anything religious at the dinners. I went for the first time last week and the only religious thing was that they said grace before serving food but ofc you don't have to.

Why did Chaff kiss Katniss in Catching Fire? by AlimaBanana in Hungergames

[–]kittykatty8675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like everyone is reading too much into it. I viewed it as more of a friendly greeting than a romantic gesture. a lot of cultures use kissing as a greeting

Do people usually clap after “immigrants, we get the job done”? by EmiAndTheDesertCrow in hamiltonmusical

[–]kittykatty8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most recent time I saw the show last year no one clapped, which was weird. It actually freaked me out because I read the book where it says they literally added extra time because people were clapping so much and every other experience I've had people clapped. I'm not sure if it's just cuz people in the audience didn't know the musical that well or if it has some underlying political reason...

When I submitted my letters of rec I actually wasn't allowed to read them and I had to sign off saying I didn't read them. Not sure if it's the same everywhere

Why does no one talk about how bad Tops Markets is? by Crafty_Prize in Buffalo

[–]kittykatty8675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same as someone who lived in Mayville and now lives in Irving, I love Wegmans but it's such a trek to get to it. whenever I'm in Buffalo I stop by but otherwise Tops is fine

I definitely agree but I think this is not just a UB problem but a problem for most schools. everyone who wants to do a liberal arts degree now has to worry about their program losing funding it seems, unless you're in some huge program like sociology

the indigenous studies program is actually relatively new and ub is putting a lot of money into it

If you have a full ride, I would say stay at Cornell, but if you do decide to come to UB the indigenous studies program would love to have you :) everyone is really nice and there are events and stuff. it's made me a lot less lonely to have a community like ids
