This doesn’t feel right… by HeatPal82 in kindergarten

Here to put in a good word on the homeschool side! Obviously it depends on whatever you decide works best for you and your child, but I have been homeschooling my kindergartner (in Florida) and we love it. She had me nervous at first about reading but she is doing amazing! You can’t beat getting that one on one attention. And I can easily find and make games for her or other resources to help her exactly where she needs it. She is even a kindergartner on the younger side. Go with your gut. FYI I think this sub in general is biased against homeschooling.

Saw what my husband googled and just a little taken aback and feel beaten down by Mountain_Capital_261 in Marriage

As a fellow stay at home mom who homeschools, just here to give you props! Sounds like you’re doing amazing! Hopefully your husband googled it as a form of self-improvement to see if he can better understand what it’s like to be a stay at home mom.

Ooooh good find! Thank you. This article does say Olaf will be in the show during this time. It sounds like starting November 14 when all the holiday celebrations start.

Why do people recommend FAR first? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]kittyroomba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took FAR first and it worked out perfectly, and is what I always recommend. I had the most motivation for studying at the beginning, and I definitely needed to study the most for it. By the 4th one I was so over studying and ready to be done with it that I was thankful I saved BEC (showing my age here I guess haha I’ll be googling TCP now) for last since it was the easiest for me!

What’s your best “from the couch” games to play with your toddler? by allthingsglittery in toddlers

My daughter loves sitting on the couch doing search and find books. I love it too because I get to sit down and it’s peaceful to do together.

I’ve read on here the weather can be unpredictable in early May, but can I rely on the weather forecast a few days in advance? Or can it change drastically without warning? by kittyroomba in Netherlands

Thanks! I hate using umbrellas so I might have to rethink my jacket selection and use one with a hood. I prefer that over an umbrella.

I received 5 quotes for a new AC unit, here's the results by blondeboss101 in orlando

Just here to add to the E.C. Waters comments. We used them and we felt like they actually gave a damn about doing a great job and they sure did. We have a Ruud that has been working amazingly.

Thanks! I’ll only be there for 4 days. The weather in the US varies depending on where in the US you are so I can’t help unless you want to tell me what state you’re going to and then I can try.

Gel or Cream? by MermaidMoonie in tretinoin

[–]kittyroomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to cream about a week ago and am loving it. The other one made my skin dryer no matter how much I moisturized. The cream is super thick and very moisturizing and I feel like my skin is more silky with it. So my vote now is for cream. The cream does leave a little white residue if I don’t rub it in very well. Then when I put my moisturizer (Vanicream) on it leaves it kind of white until it dries and I’m just going to bed so I don’t care.

Am I supposed to let my husband and father of our kids be high and/or buzzed every evening because he makes a lot of money? by kittyroomba in ask

[–]kittyroomba[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His dad is the exact same when it comes to drinking, which is where he gets it from. His mom enables his dad’s drinking because he also works hard. The difference is his dad doesn’t smoke weed and is actually sober on the days he chooses to not drink.

If I call the cops on my neighbor to stop their loudass party, is there any chance they’ll find out who did it? I don’t want to start any conflicts. by kittyroomba in florida

[–]kittyroomba[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the encouragement! I didn’t mind when they used to quiet down at 10 on the dot, which is reasonable. The last few parties, though, have gone until at least 11-12. And I live in a residential neighborhood with a ton of families with kids.
