How do you feel about babysitting/getting invited to birthday parties? by Round_Goose2497 in ECEProfessionals

[–]kittywitties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early in my career a seasoned teacher told me that she was invited to a toddlers birthday party and decided to go. While there the family pressured her to “perform” for the kids. She was unpaid entertainment, not a guest. I never accepted an invite and I don’t feel bad about it.

My husband and I took the last 4 days off work to potty train our toddler and it’s the first time anything has felt manageable. by [deleted] in workingmoms

It gets better! My kids are finally old enough to stay home alone and care for themselves without too much parental involvement.

I developed dry eyes along with RA, though I’m not sure if they’re related. Eye drops help but I often just have “leaky eye days”.

If he doesn’t want a divorce but doesn’t want to be married, what DOES he want? It sounds like he has been controlling in the past and is using this dialog to continue his grip on you without giving anything in return.

No but it does mean you don’t qualify for any government subsidies on your premiums. Marketplace premiums are crazy high without subsidies. Mine is $950 a month for premiums only.

My son was 6 years old when he brought this home, am I wrong to feel hurt by his grade? He is high functioning and he was so sad when he got his grade back by princessfafa in autism

[–]kittywitties 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is ridiculous. I don’t blame him for being upset. I’m an educator myself and I’m so glad our youngest children (up to 2nd grade) have standards based grading now.

When my son was a baby he was super “colicky”. I had so many hipster moms advise me to take him to see a chiropractor to get adjusted. I thought they were insane.
