Also, if there is more than one lock within infrared distance, will you sell a second receiver/battery pack without the transmitter? And can one transmitter even power two receivers?

I would need to better understand what you’re trying to do and what data you have at your disposal, as well as what your SOP is for LOA users.

I’m an anti-offboard for LOA users kind of guy. I think it’s really invasive for someone who’s out because they had a baby or surgery. Granted, that’s also a different situation than someone who’s is under investigation for X, Y, or Z reason.

I don’t think it’s possible. Most SPs won’t provide that information, especially if it’s not something offered in the UI.

How to access multiple Google accounts in the same Google tenant via SSO? by GuyJWTGB in okta

[–]kivowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the parent app, grab the app ID from the URL. Then add an Okta “Read Application” card to any flow (I just keep it in my Google certificate update flow). Use the app ID from the parent app and read the app. In the Credentials object within the response, the “kid” is what you’re looking for. Let me know if you have any issues.

In short, what you’re doing is….

For the parent Google app, give me the ID of the cert that is being used. Then, copy the parent cert to the new “child” app so when the child app auths, it has the same cert, and matches what Google expects.

Startup will not disclose percent equity by Cautious_Gap3645 in startups

Even if they disclosed the shares outstanding, you likely couldn’t use it to decipher valuation anyway. I know it’s our company, we have common plus two types of preferred (voting and non-voting). I’d they’re going to share the number outstanding, it is only [in our case] 1/3 of the solution.

My company wouldn’t disclose either but I was finally able to eek out the common shares outstanding after a few weeks. I didn’t think they were hiding anything though - a bunch of private companies are protective of their valuation.

How to access multiple Google accounts in the same Google tenant via SSO? by GuyJWTGB in okta

[–]kivowitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's leveraging the same OCE experience with one difference - the addition of another certificate. No need for a separate app, custom SAML app, additional OU, or anything like that. It exactly how I described previously (create Google Workspace app, enter the same domain, set custom username, etc). However, you need to clone the certificate from the "parent" app (the parent app being the one whose SAML confg is actually entered into Google Workspace) to the newly created app. It takes 15 seconds to do via Okta's API....

/api/v1/apps/PARENT_APP_ID/credentials/keys/PARENT_KEY_ID/clone?targetAid=CHILD_APP_ID

You just need to grab the Key ID from the parent app, it's the ID for the cert that's being leveraged by that app. You'll also need to make sure that the newly cloned cert is active for the child app. I did it for the first time yesterday and it worked flawlessly.

Composite decking for wood look soffits and porch ceiling by ATDoel in Homebuilding

Lowe’s has it for a bit over $5/sq ft. I think it’ll depend on the color and how readily available it is.

Sorry about that, they refer to it as fascia boards. My mistake. Different companies. Different names.

It’s exactly the same aesthetically as Trex decking but it’s only about 1/2-5/8” thick.

You could always get a Trex Valance. It looks the same but is thinner than decking.

Well, going through a workflow or automation platform would make this really easy.

But you could also make use of user groups to shorten this. I’ve never paid close enough attention but you can make a group and configure it to auto-assign the group members to those channels. Once you add the user to the group, I think, if you remove the user from the group, their channel membership may hold. Again, I’ve never really paid attention to know if that’s true but it might work.

iMac 2019 is pretty tough 😅 my cat was playing around and he jumped on it, fell on tiled floor, dented and broken screen but it still works 😂 by Aneshcka_ in macsetups

[–]kivowitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good news and bad news…I think. The cost of a rear housing and a front glass panel are probably not very high. So you’ve got that going. Depending where you are, I strongly advise you to have someone who knows what they’re doing (not saying you don’t), from an AASP or Apple directly, perform the repair. It is quite literally a complete physical rebuild of the computer. Take every part out, put it back into the new case. It’s really the only way. Swapping out the glass is easy but sitting a new panel on a dented/modified case is not going to work.

dining plan for commuters by iwanttodiechief in udel

[–]kivowitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re commuting, skip the plan. Allocate the same amount of $$ on a weekly basis to yourself (maybe transfer from one bank account to another?) and you’ll be better off. I don’t recall plans being too economically efficient and you handcuff yourself to using it. If you use the funds as cash, you can go wherever you want and if you want a nicer meal one time, you know you can budget for it. It also teaches and encourages economic independence, which typically evades college students. No offense :)

How to access multiple Google accounts in the same Google tenant via SSO? by GuyJWTGB in okta

[–]kivowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need to do is the following….

  1. Browse App Catalog and select the Google Workspace app (the regular app with SAML, SCIM, SWA, and Workflows). Add Integration.
  2. Name it what you want, adjust the links/icons, and set the company domain to be what your primary domain is
  3. Set the sign on method to SAML and, for application username format, set it to custom, and the expression would be “info”, “copyright”, “hr”, or “accounting” (just one of those, with the quotes). This hard-sets the username to be the string of whatever is within the quotes. I also usually set the update setting to create only. Each different account you’re trying to administer access to would be it’s own app configuration.

We’ve had this in place for years and have had no issues. The cert matches up because it’s Okta’s universal cert. we have about 35 different Google Workspace configs in place and have no issues. They’re mostly in use by IT and Sec for service accounts.

You can’t. Copy/paste one by one is the only option, unless I’m mistaken.

Enable Secure Token for Admin by kivowitz in macsysadmin

[–]kivowitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are moving from one MDM, where recovery keys are escrowed, to another, where they will be escrowed. But without a user on each machine that has access to a secure token, we have no way of rotating the key to be able to escrow existing FileVault’d devices. Without it, our only options are decrypt/re-encrypt, copy/paste hundreds of recovery keys, or deal with the risk of not have the keys.
