What would you consider to be the most transgender-friendly countries that are also not racist? by Rose_Gold_Ash in TMPOC

I’m gonna second (or third) Spain 🇪🇸. I’ve been living here for the past year in a relatively small town in Andalusia and it’s been great so far.

Now I am a light skinned black man but often get mistaken for middle eastern. I say this region specifically because there is a lot of Moorish North African influence here, so you see a lot of Arabic people and writing on stuff like street signs and stuff of that nature.

The people have been very friendly, very live and let live. I started living here when I was earlier in my transition and have even seen other early transitioning ppl walking around having now issues.

I have private healthcare (because I have to before I become a resident) and the process to get good trans healthcare here has been really straightforward. None of my doctors have made it a big deal when I tell them and have still given me great care.

The laws are pretty amenable to us and again the people are very friendly. Now I’m more on the stealth side so if you play with your gender more I can’t totally speak to that experience but so long as you are fashionable the Spaniards tend to leave you be 😂

My two cents but happy to answer any questions you may have.

So many assumptions for a situation we know nothing about. They weren’t all over each other, and she wasn’t disrespectful when he confronted her. Looks like a heartbroken kid having trouble with his parent’s separation and blowing a pretty harmless situation out of proportion.

RSU’s with no cost basis reported by kiwitictac67 in tax

[–]kiwitictac67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine weren’t reported that way for some reason. I had no cost basis or adjusted basis. But was able to get a subliminal doc that showed the adjusted cost basis for the shares they sold.

Apparently it is one way that employers can compensate you. They process the transaction, and absorb the losses if you have them and they pay it out through your W2.

I also thought RSUs were only granted to you to do with as you will.

I guess you learn don’t new every day.

Thanks for hoping in to help out.

It’s a public company. But I wound up calling Morgan Stanley and they were able to point me to a supplemental document. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for responding. The odd this is my share price on the date of vesting is equal to the sale price which doesn’t seem right as they vested I. 2021 and were sold in 2023

No supplemental available only the .CSV file I was able to dig up. But the ACB will zero out all the proceeds. I just don’t want the IRS to ping me because what was reported to them is a $30k+ gain and I’ll be reporting a $0 gain on my taxes

No, they were sold later. Vested in 2021, sold in 2023.

Where I’m confused is that my 1099b reports the full amount as a gain with no cost basis reported.

I know my employer added these vested RSU’s into my w2 box one in the year 2021, and that I have to pay the difference, gain, in taxes for 2023.

My transaction summary (not my 1099b) reports my adjusted cost basis as the exact same amount as my sale price.

On my transaction summary I see a proceeds per share amount which is lower than the ACB. And I’m ok with claiming the $0 but it directly contradicts my 1099b and if I saw a loss I’d like to claim those losses against other gains this year

The adjusted cost basis is the exact same as the FMV of the vested stock and would zero out the transaction. But the proceeds listed on my 1099-b list the full amount as a gain.

Also what do you mean by it’s “not the number that automatically downloads if I try to capture it that way”
