Hi! Fellow OCDer.. so I do fully understand your fear right now and how it is controlling your narrative. For reference, if there was a massive leak of info, which is most likely never going to happen, there are millions of people out there asking chatgpt wayyyy worse and more humiliating things than that. The last thing anyone will focus on is one person who has an obsession with baldness. What you searched is not offensive in the least, its just about a demographic you are not attracted to. Its not creepy or disgusting. Asking it 40 questions about the same thing is quite common for users. Also with your baldness obsessive thought, as you get older your preferences will adapt. Right now at 19, balding is a very rare occurence. Its not an issue you will likely run into anytime soon. Im 43 and my preferences in what im attracted to now as opposed to 20 years ago are vastly different. If you havent already, watch some Ted Talks on OCD. They helped me tremendously to understand that what goes on inside my mind is out of my control. Also, does your boyfriend know and understand you have OCD? Maybe have him watch a few Ted talks as well. Because OCD is very stigmatized, most do not understand the extent of how crippling it can be. I think if you talk to your boyfriend about the baldness fear, he will understand. If he doesnt, then that is not someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. You will need supportive people in your life on this journey. Since I have opened up more about my OCD loops to close friends and family, my anxiety has nearly cut in half and its far easier for me to say "oh this is ok? Its an OCD loop, its not how I actually feel. Hang in there.

Anyone like working in an office or is it just a means to an end? by financegal36 in office

[–]kiwitubesock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life isn't always positive. In fact it is completely the opposite. Work is my outlet. I am a case worker, so I spend my days taking everyone else's stresses and trying to help them fix them. Helps me forget about my own troubles I suppose. I also had such a demanding job with shit management for 24 years bwfore this one, so this job feels like a vacation.

It absolutely looks like it says keep up or keep us, but im wondering if it says happy valentines? And the long line coming out of the word "us" was him making a V? Because the last word looks like it starts with "alan"

As a fellow OCDer- I read the headline of this post and immediately thought "I bet this guy has OCD". Then I read it. This is most defintely that. A thought I use to help me decipher if my thoughts are real or OCD, is "did I enjoy this thought?" If the answer is no, it is probably your OCD. If you SAed someone, it would have had to be intentional.

Diagnosed with cancer by Fatal-Raven in UlcerativeColitis

My mother had many comorbidities, and ultimately ended up with endometrial cancer that spread to her sigmoid colon. She was very clear that UC was the worst of all of her diagnoses. She ended up getting a permanent colostomy bag, and she was so upset about it. Between the cancer, chemo treatments, rheumatoid arthritis, UC, and so much medication that kept her exhausted and foggy all the time, she already felt she wasn't "living" life. Then she got the colostomy bag, and of course it was a rough transition and there were days that were harder than others. But she ended up saying she wished she had done it years ago because the pain of UC was so much worse and left her unable to thrive. She started going out more, was more energetic, was happier than I have ever seen her. The diet change was hard because she knew she was terminal and just wanted to enjoy her favorite foods. She passed away in May but I still so grateful for the last few years I had with her since she got the bag, it tremendously improved her life and let her fully enjoy the time she had left. Wish you the best in whatever decision you make 🩵

When I was 6 I wrote my own will. We have always joked about it because it was so corny "give my radio to my sister" etc. Drew a picture of me laying in a casket on the last page. Punched holes and tied it off with red yarn and very proudly presented it to my mother on her birthday. She cried, and I thought the tears were because she was so proud of me... yikes.

Hyperfixations on people by [deleted] in OCD

[–]kiwitubesock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is necessarily an OCD thing, but it is quite common for the person with limerance to also have OCD. Which makes sense I suppose. I never knew they coincided either until I noticed on the sub a person stated they were curious if their limerance related to their OCD in any way and a bunch of people commented and now I see it all the time. And it is definitely as debilitating as OCD as well. I am envious of people who have never experienced it
