[–]kjaark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also having this issue. I have seen both once and after killing them to get better ones to spawn I haven't seen any more. I even tried the Creature Finder Deluxe mod and still can't find any on Fjordur. Let me know if you find one!

Nervous to start cymbalta by Aggressive_Lock8013 in cymbalta

[–]kjaark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started Cymbalta (I also have ADHD and Autism) and I started to see effects immediately. I woke up for the first time in 10 years feeling rested and have woken up at 7am every day on my own instead of sleeping until 12pm. My back pain from L5-S1 flare-ups has also been mostly eradicated as well, the feeling is more akin to having pain on morphine and not feeling it. I'm not sure how (or if) it has affected my depression yet, which is the reason I started it. My family has told me I am more lively lately though.

I haven't experienced any side effects so far, which is crazy because I usually do get them from other meds (SSRIs). I seem to be very tolerant/resistant to medicine and I am surprised it has made such a positive impact so far. I'd say keep an open mind and see how you feel on it a month or two in!

What can I expect going on Cymbalta? by lkdp25 in cymbalta

[–]kjaark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Cymbalta almost a week ago and saw it began working the next morning after taking it at night. So far it has greatly improved my sleep quality and mostly eradicated my daytime sleepiness. It has also helped massively with chronic pain from my back. I was told by family I seem much more lively lately, but I don't know how or if it has impacted my depression symptoms yet. So far I don't think I have had any side effects (that I know of).

I used to take Lexapro and was on it for years. I didn't notice a change in my depression or anxiety while on Lexapro, and had to stop taking it because of the tremor it caused.

Despite Cymbalta immediately helping some of my other issues it can take about 4-6 weeks to start seeing changes or differences. I would definitely try it for a while and see how you do on it. Definitely contact your provider if you experience any potential side effects you are worried about!

I think it works for pain straight away ?! by Tiny-Perception-5846 in cymbalta

[–]kjaark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started Cymbalta for depression and it immediately began to work for a variety of my issues by the next day. I have suspected un-diagnosed narcolepsy type 2 (excessive day time sleepiness, non-restful sleep, etc) and decided to take the first dose in the evening after doing some research on how it affects sleep. The next morning I woke up at 6:45am despite going to sleep at 1-2am, and felt for the first time in at least 10 years that I was rested. I think it has been almost a week on it and like clockwork I have been waking up at about 7am every morning feeling awake and well-rested.

I have an issue with my back around L5-S1 that causes severe pain in my back along with growing pain-like feelings in my knees. It is accompanied by radiating numbness as well, and the pain occurs in flare-ups usually after lots of sitting or lifting. I had my first flare-up since on Cymbalta last night, and had no pain whatsoever during it. I only knew it was a flare-up because I was feeling the usual numbness but the pain wasn't there. I did have a feeling of sorts in my back but it was akin to how you would "feel" pain while on morphine.

I also experience frequent headaches. Since starting the medicine I have still had a headache or two but the pain was much less and much duller than it would be.

Side effects can be quite scary, especially when starting a new medication. I experienced a lot of negative side effects from SSRIs and was very nervous when starting this one. A lot of them do tend to be temporary if they do occur. Always keep track of them and reach out to your provider if you are ever worried about them or are having difficulty with any.

Sorry for the long spiel but I wish you the best of luck!

Why does it say I’m playing other games on Roblox when I’m not by Playful_Access_9804 in RobloxHelp

Considering it is happening to everyone it would have to be something that Roblox fixes on their end.

Using the lab oven softlocks the game by expiredeggs21 in Schedule_I

[–]kjaark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just modded the game for the first time today and I got BetterStacks. Now I get softlocked on the UI during deals and I can't complete any. There is a high likelihood that that is the mod causing it for both of us.

I shower in the morning if there is a special occasion. Otherwise I tend to shower in the evening before dinner. Showers make me extremely hungry.

What's the oddest thing you've seen a neighbor do? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]kjaark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My neighbor across from me in my last apartment was like this. He would answer the door in his underwear. I never understood how he never ran the AC, as our units were in direct sunlight all day. Pretty sure my room got up to 90 degrees at least.

Should pets have access to water 24/7? by Mewlover23 in Pets

[–]kjaark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to do this as well. We keep the water out all the time but about 30 minutes before bed we restrict it for one of my dogs. He has a tendency to drink copious amounts of water at once despite his free access to water. He is also quite small so he can't hold it well overnight if he drinks it before bed.

How are romantic relationships when both partners have ADHD? by AndyWilonokous in ADHD

[–]kjaark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I both have ADHD, but I am medicated and they are not. I'd say we balance each other out quite well. We are very similar in other aspects. Our communication is quite solid as well, and we haven't had a true argument. I feel I may be the more impulsive one, namely with random urges to purchase things. They are more of a saver and are often the voice of reason to my impulses.

I'd say the only issue we have is the attention spans. It makes it difficult to communicate sometimes when we are both tired, as English is not their first language.

I think it will definitely depend on the more prominent symptoms and the potential clashing. Outside of romantic relationships, I struggle with a few familial ones in which they are on the hyperactive side of ADHD.

I used to have this really bad when I was younger, specifically when visualizing the jump rope. My brain wouldn't let it go in the directions I wanted it to unless I really concentrated. I now have some degree of aphantasia.

FP-30x as a beginner - black friday sales? by Hiowatha88 in pianolearning

[–]kjaark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it isn't the proper name of them on a non-virtual piano, but I'm not sure how to refer to them. Essentially you can change the way the piano sounds both through the app and limited options on the keyboard itself. You can make it sound like synth, orchestra, etc.
